What mech or mechs are you going to be picking up?

Me I am going to be selling my inventory of random weapons to get me some Kodiaks.
KDK-3 This is the Kodiak I am looking at building out first when I get my first Kodiak
KDK-3 Then maybe this build next on a second Kodiak 3
KDK-2 Might even grab a Kodiak 2

You forgot the Machine guns on the KDK 3 Gauss build. KDK-3

The first weapon you put in goes into the lowest available slot. So you put in a machine gun in each side and no ammo for them. This puts your Gauss in the highest shoulder point.


Also the KDK 3 UAC5/10 build you're using would be better with a 375 and 4 erML in the arms, you'll lose 4kph but gain enough room for 300+ of each ammo type and 4 lasers that can burn the legs off lights or finish someone with a quick alpha or when you inevitably run out of ammo you still have 20+ points of alpha damage.



50-55 ammo is usually enough for me in a dual Gauss build.

I picked up the Warrant hero Timber Wolf a while ago to have a Hero Heavy that wasn't the Loyalty Hellbringer, but hadn't bothered to pick up 2 more Timber Wolf mechs for unlocking skill areas. I found the motivation to do so during this sale. After that, dunno.

Bought single Cheetah, and GHR-5H + GHR-5N. Will sell back those two GHRs right after basicing them, as Marauder-IIC will be available for C-Bills soon, and I am in need of cash.

The H is a good 3 large pulse 4 medium laser mech but definately sell the N

I don't think kodiaks are particularly suited to "just lasers" builds. They're massive targets and all the laser builds don't benefit from the high mounted ballistics of the Kdk-3 and it's not nearly agile enough to mitigate that issue like a laser vomit timby or grasshopper, or battlemaster and its massive accel/deccel values

kdk-2's are legit bad. get a kdk-1 instead, has more hardpoints, and you can build a brawler with a really high alpha on it. this is what I use on it but I barely ever play it now http://mwo.smurfy-ne...47d916a013bff48 should shoot the spl's as 3 and 3 to avoid heat spike. if running hot just shoot lb20 and watch the heat bar so you can shoot srm's with it. the spls will make the most heat. you can adjust to your liking if you think you'd want to run it.
I don't like it since the KDK was nerfed to hell with turn rates and stuff

Sounds like a FW drop deck sadly though Clan tonnage isn't 250.

Nah, I'm not interested in FW; these are just mechs I've been meaning to get for a long time.

I have enough cbills to get a second Kodiak, but I think I'll just wait for the 3 variants rule to be removed before I bother playing that mech.

Yeah my thought is get 1 or 2 Kodiak 3s and play them like crazy to stock pile XP for them when the 3 variant rule gets removed ... if it gets removed.

Three Nobori-nins - Prime P and B. It was going to be my next PokeMech until PTS convinced me to re-play my existing stable, but discount on chassis I was curious about is very rare so...

I haven't played Clan very much in the past, so will probably pick up a few singles just to experiment. Maybe a HBR, a KDK, not sure what else.

I might also add a Locust and a Cheetah because I kinda suck in lights and should practice more (currently own none).

KDK-1 All laser vomit. You really can't go wrong when you use ALL available slots and can still pack ~30 DHS.

KDK-2 All laser vomit. Again a mech with all its slots used up and top engine with almost 30 DHS.

Though I think adding Gauss to the KDK 1 and KDK 2 is a phenomenal way to do damage when at max heat.

KDK-1 Gauss and a 54 laser alpha with the top engine.


KDK-2 Gauss with a 54 point laser vomit alpha.



All in all I think the 1 and the 2 are good. The 4 is good if you want to Dual Gauss with a STD engine, which is almost all it can do due to the hardpoints and lack thereof. The 5 is the same as the 1, 1xGauss and 2xLPL and 4x erML.


I've been loving my KDKs.
