I've been brainstorming for quite a while, i wanted 3 JJs on the Dire-Wolf, and a good build to make it work.

I was thinking something in the lines of the next step of Dakka Vomit. But Im not sure how to tacke it, do i go 3x UAC5 for more dps or 2x UAC10 for more tonnage? Likewise, what on earth is good heat efficiency?

DWF-S Dakka Vomit - 3x UAC5 [300] + 2x LPL + 1x ML, 3 JJ, 22 DHS

DWF-S Dakka Vomit - 2x UAC10 [240] + 2x LPL + 2x ML, 3 JJ, 23 DHS

If you go full on dakka you get do both - one of my more successful dwf's runs 3x uac5/2x uac10. lets you worry about heat sinks much less.

yes you run the risk of running out of ammo, but if I'm running out of ammo it usually means we've won, in part because I unloaded an entire dwf of uac ammo into them.

If you are set on using the lasers, IMO it's more a question of engagement range than anything. If you want to be more effective a little farther out., go with the 5s. if you are willing to sacrifice that, you will be deadlier a little further in.

Depends what you mean in reference to the JJ's and a build that makes them work. UAC's and lasers don't jive very well with JJ's. LBXs SRMs Gauss and PPC's do.

Either of your builds could work okay. A little shy on ammo for my taste.

But those are poptarting. I was thinking this build would be mid-range nightmare, and is able to efficiently reposition itself.

Dakka Whales:

2UAC10+3UAC5 Double tap is 70damage, can be deadsided to a degree, less range and convergence - still a favorite of mine

6UAC5 - Double tap is 60 damage, better range and convergence, heat may be a problem if its brawl time

2Gauss+2ERPPC - not exactly dakka but is worth mentioning. PPFLD, thoug this is better done on a Kodiak.

8UAC2 on a Ultraviolent. Because: 8 dakkas at long range. Live by the jam, die by the jam.

Well, this looks a lot worse than the version w/o JJs and all the UACs in the torso, but... how about 4x UAC5, 8x SPL ?

8x C-AC2 is fine for me.

whales cant reposition at all. At mid-short range, Its always kill or get killed. You cant peek a corner, shoot and pull back like the other mech do. torso twist speed and yaw is just very very bad. Your always the first to die when thing goes nascar. And if a half decent light see you alone in the back trying to keep up.... just forget it , call for help , lunch uav cause you move like ... like there's no word to explain how sluggish whales are. You bring so much fire power, but its near impossible to bring it where you want it .

8 ac2 can be very effective at long range
4 uac 20 is fun but awful
lrm 40 + lbx 40 + 2 er large is a good tool box
