I would just like to point out that the CBT Forums have a whole section called Challenges and Gatherings, where schedules are posted for games all over the world, search around a bit, you might find a game near-by

Look towards Milwaukee as there are a few of them there. The drive isn't too bad either (I lived in MKE and drove to Racine for 5 years for work).
Silver Spring Hobby in the Whitefish Bay/Glendale area used to have regular game days on Saturdays for CBT.

You're seriously in the area where like 15 different BattleTech players frequent tabletop outings. The suggestion for bg.BattleTech.com forums' Challenges and Gatherings subforum is a good one.

I no longer play PnP battletech but I am just north of Racine in Greenfield. This is apparently a hotbed of mechwarriors.
