why can't we have a random IS vs Clan QP match once in a while? would be interesting to shake things up a bit. or event weekend, IS vs Clan without having to play the horrible CW maps and game modes

It will further strain MM, but for a short duration event, I suppose no big harm will be done. Perhaps it will give PGI another angle on Clan vs. IS balance.

I say junk the MM during such events and just let the chips fall where they may. Any change of pace is much better than the current snooze fest, which causes me to play or do something else.

Sounds like fun for a short event. I say this as someone who likes both IS and Clan mechs a hell of a lot, no preferance here. Be interesting to see how it goes down in QP. I think it would be actually quite fun.
