Now that they are out for c bills, I am prepared to share my personal findings and experience, from both in and out of the MAD IIC cockpit, of how best to destroy the clammer scum piloting them

These are not exact hitboxes, but rather the best general area to aim at to isolate a component.

GREEN indicates where to shoot to hit the Center Torso.

YELLOW indicates where to shoot to hit a Side Torso.

BLUE indicates the best general areas to shoot the legs and arms off these things, since their pilots (assuming competency) will be in constant motion and the arms and legs tend to squirm around a lot.

RED indicates a special case.

PURPLE is specific to disabling the powerful asymmetric loadouts you will see on the Marauder IIC-A and IIC-C.

Let's get down to business.

You think that's the best place BUT there is an even better place to aim for - the secret weak point to aim for is this:

(with eye-catching Decal placement to help guide your aim)

Want to make a MAD pilot mad? Thats where to aim for. Posted Image

My preferred method is take one of my light mechs, isolate the MAD-IIC, get in close then tear apart it's back armor. Unless they're actually smart, in which case I just harass them with a PPC (or other long range weapon since all my favorite light mechs have one) and weaken it so the rest of my team can deal with it easily

Thank you for this. You don't know how many times I've been shooting the big red box area and wondering in frustration at how that MAD is still standing!

I may be simplistic, but I simply shoot it in the "ear" where I see most guns are located, or the ear that is already damaged. Ears are gargantuan in size and visible from basically any angle.

Actually, it's fastest to just aim for the head ;)

The arms will block shots placed there a lot of the time. Spreading damage all around is exactly what you don't want to be doing against a marauder IIC.

I'd personally shoot the legs, but in QP pugs tend to shoot at the torsi anyway, so I have to shoot the torsi as well to destroy them faster, unfortunately. Same deal with Linebackers.
