The minor details aside, the best solution is to play with a unit/clan. That person don't have to join them as the opportunity to hop around and find out what works and doesn't work for themselves. By learning more specific mechanics and behavior in MWO, it will start to become easier to play the game. It would simply take much longer to learn it by himself... because the struggle is real.
It's the reality of what lacking a good NPE brings to the table. Sorry that your friend is facing this reality. Groups are what allow a player to get towards his potential. If there was a better way to give "all the tips", it wouldn't be that large a learning curve... once someone gets over that hump... everything becomes that much more easy.

That means I died more times in that Mech then I made drops in any single Mech I own
So picking the right Mech from the start is a good idea

Let MM do its thing and lost 27 in a row. Usually after a few I log off then back on to reset but sometimes just let it ride.
Funny though, don't think I have ever been on a double digit win streak.

Uh....
You realize that you want players like this around, right?
Or was the whole point of the response to post the gif?

hell, pretty willing to bet most non comp tier level twitch players would be doing well to break even on KDr after their first 25 matches.

To be honest, it is a depressing record when you start the game in the first place, but that's a realistic expectation though.
This is the literal filter that exists in this game that is the biggest retention issue for this game (outside of PGI's bad decisions) for the average new player. Whether you agree with it or not, this is nominally why the playerbase's overall skill level decreases over time. We may get enough curious people to stick around enough, but that also comes with people leaving the game due to being a lot of the same with little to no progress on any useful/practical front. It is a revolving door at the very least, and it is tough to sustain a business through this method.

Well, to quote one of my favorite cinema lines of all time...

The best thing you can do if he comes back is get involved with a group. Solo play sucks especially when you are new. Surround him with experienced players who are happy to answer questions and pick up some of the slack while he gets his footing. You don't have to join a unit but just hop on some country TS servers. Some are happy to have a new face to drop with. Shop around and find groups you like.

I can't maintain some form of consistency. There are few good games, and many bad games.
If I can't git gud sooner or later, I may make a call and focus on the games where I am good at.
Furthermore the game strains my eyes. I can't see crap, have to often resort to night vision and thermal. It also strains my computer in a way no other game I got installed can.

I could tell you of 10,000+ fun battles in MechWarrio2-MechWarrior4Mercinaries where your mech was a real tough robot stomping into battles knowing it was skill and luck that got you kills a few a battle.
But not MWO your poor friend goes right into the meat grinder mill and probably got killed in just a few shots from mass focused fire and not having much training.
For new players MWO is a terrible game there is not a huge social lobby for new players to find free private matches and good players to learn the ropes from. The mechs now are so overpowered weapons wise you might as well just have 0 armor and stack on as many OP weapons as you can an just mass rush and try to get kills and a win.
MWO has finally turned into WOT or Planitside2 just another fast and furious FPS. having lost all the good things from past Battletech and MechWarrior games.
HAIL the new MWO=MeatWarriorOnline even MechAssualt or MechAssault2 were more fun games overall.

As for the learning curve...yeah, it's steep, but it could be worse. It could be EvE Online.

How can I persuade him to stay in MWO world? Could you guys give me some advice? Thank you.

If your friend has such a low patience, you won't be able to keep him in the game.
Or in any other game that is not literally childs play.
I played MW titles before, I played shooters for decades, but my goal in the first few MWO match was:
Deal 20 damage before dying.
Yes, it was that bad.
Then 100 damage.
Then make a kill.
Then maybe even survive the match (woohoo).
It took at least 100 matches to see any kind of light at the end of the tunnel.
And 1000 matches to get along "okay".
Throwing in the sponge after 25 matches means that friend is not (pardon me) mature enough to endure any kind of learning curve that is not tailored for children.

Yeah OP tell him it gets easier over time, particularly after one learns the meta.
My score is pretty terrible due to my starting mech choices (IS jenner and Jagermech), my PC isn't good enough to play high speed lights to full effectiveness and Jagermechs were quite papery when I was using them (resulting in a whole lotta bad deaths and lost games). Once I farmed out enough to buy some tougher and higher damage mechs I had a lot more fun and a lot more wins.
I am still catching up on my K/D ratio but my personal wins score has shifted vastly from about 3 out of 4 games lost to better than 50/50.

I have good stats and amazing stats if I didn't face so much trolling from synch droppers on team speak., not to mention everyone with a hack starts them up for me if given a chance. :")
Also like has already been said this game takes quit a bit of practice to even do ok at.
Of course this reply will most like be trolled by the trolls like any that actually get to the heart of the matter.
Knowing your being trolled doesn't help much but it does help.
Good luck to your friend this is a good game and looks like it will continue to improve so its well worth playing.
Playing during peak hours when focusing is more difficult to do, that's the best advice, the trolls are always focusing someone......

I hope PGI doesn't read the forums, or your topic at least.
