Tell your friend he is being trolled because he is new and that could explain the loss streak. The trolls try and get players to quit as standard procedure.

I have good stats and amazing stats if I didn't face so much trolling from synch droppers on team speak., not to mention everyone with a hack starts them up for me if given a chance. :")

Also like has already been said this game takes quit a bit of practice to even do ok at.

Of course this reply will most like be trolled by the trolls like any that actually get to the heart of the matter.
Knowing your being trolled doesn't help much but it does help.

Good luck to your friend this is a good game and looks like it will continue to improve so its well worth playing.
Playing during peak hours when focusing is more difficult to do, that's the best advice, the trolls are always focusing someone......

looks like someone forgot to take his medication.

Oh hi. Meet Johnny Z. The whole world is out to get him and he is bringing tin foil hats back into style.

If you guys are always this insulting towards newer players then it's no wonder why your friend left.

would like you to point out, with quotes, where this "insulting" thing is.

cos i see narry a shred of insults and instead, a metric **** ton of helpful posts.

oh no worries, i know who johnny is. i've dropped with and against him a couple of times. he gets his hackusation-mode triggered by anyone alpha-ing any component on his mech.

it's quite hilarious when you're on his team. cos you could be rolling the opfor 10-2 and suddenly here comes johnny in all chat, with his panties all in a bunch because he lost a side torso. lol.

Eh, there are a couple of somewhat unhelpful posts, and one downright pooplord one with a GIF (I can't quote, because PGI decided long ago to make their forum incompatible with the vast majority of the internet browsing world.). But you're mostly right, people have been suggesting their best ideas to help.

Blame tier 1 torlls who use alt accounts to farm tier 5s.

I did make a second account ( was tier 3 at the time ) to play clan mechs.

I can tell you from experience, 3-4 great matches and you go from new to tier 3 in no time.

Not much farm time available. Now maybe if you just AFK your first 100 matches that may lock you into tier 4, I've never tried.

Basically I'm not sure you can "farm" lower tiers without moving up anyhow. Posted Image

Yeah, on my alt (which was around before PSR, just hadn't been played, so it started in Tier 4) I got to Tier 3 in literally 3 matches. Its much more reactive over your early matches in order to account for alternate account type things.

By logging into his account you broke CoC and TOS rules.
Sharing accounts and even the login information may lead to a complete ban.

I hope PGI doesn't read the forums, or your topic at least.

Didn't think of it before, but maybe he is his friend. AKA alternate account. Posted Image

True that. And anyone who tells him he's being a paranoid weirdo is just a troll who is bullying the poor working man. I remember one time I was on his team and the enemy team had an ERPPC poptart Shadowcat. Well less than a minute into the match the Shadowcat got a hit in on Johnny. Who immediately proceeded to warn the entire team about the aimbotting Shadowcat. Like, rly?

I invited one of my friends to the MWO recently, and today he will quit, telling me he always on the losing side after first 25 matches. Then I have logged in with his account and got this.

How can I persuade him to stay in MWO world? Could you guys give me some advice? Thank you.

EDIT: I have asked him to read this topic, persuaded him to stay in MWO and make a decision after 100 matches. He is a decent player in WT, thus the result....

Thanks for all you guys who replied this topic nicely.

Would his W/L be any different in any other game of this type, I haven't played any other pvp for months and world of warships my W/L was if anything worse.

I've had several breaks in this game, the first and the most recent I thought were going to be for good.

Winning a match isn't something I need to do as long as I feel I've done ok, better you get, the more likely you are to win, it's really a case of sticking with it.

Even 100 games isn't really enough time to fully grasp the game, and you can do 1000 damage and still be on a losing team.

25 matches is hardly enough to gauge this game.... heck, my first 50 games were awful since I had to learn this game from scratch even though I played leagues in MW 3 and MW 4. And then I had to develop my own playstyle and configure my mechs according to it. In comparison to this game, WoT is a walk in the park in spring.

Be lenient please... things like that happen if the medication runs out and the tinfoil hat has a crack.

OP, let me tell you this..

I've introduced people into this game before.. I'm currently introducing my fiancee, who spent the last 8 months just watching me play (with enthusiasm), and now, has finally, climbed into the cockpit..

She has never played a game like this, has never heard of BT before she met me.. and now, She's hitting that Academy with fervor..

She's not yet ready for live PVP, but she'll soon get there if she keeps practicing..

Luckily, she was smart enough to observe and learn so much from just watching me play.. so She has the right mindset..

But yeah.. this game has a HUGE learning curve, TONS of stuff to learn, and it's really really hard for people who've never played mechwarrior..

Most people find it daunting, and people without the proper view of it as a challenge, will quit quickly..

Here's some of the stuff that come up most for new players:

1) You have to use so much of the keyboard to play this game?! That's too much!

2) Where are my legs, why am I not moving the way I'm looking?

3) So, the point of this game is...what exactly?

4) This game is soooo technical, it's too much!

5) Why won't my weapons fire? I installed them!

6) Why did my mech stop in the middle of combat?

7) I can't see anything, it's too dark!

8) How does this game mode work?

9) This is the most expensive mech in the game, why is it so slow and sluggish? I got killed by some little bug, it's not fair!

10) That other mech had such nice paint, I want that too!.. Wait.. I have to pay SO MUCH REAL MONEY for that?!
