Besides the chassis that were upgraded with waists, the Centurion is the only mech that barely resembles the original artwork. At the very least it looks like someone scaled up the X-axis by 50%. Doesn't mean it looks bad, just that it probably would be more like the Enforcer if it were done today.

Ooopf. Don't get me started on the Enforcer. So many small inaccuracies across the whole design, proportionately from the artwork.. the head just being the most glaring, and the forearm weapons, the laziest. Posted Image

In my opinion, I love the anti aircraft gun carriage look of the JAGERMECH. Load it with (6) AC2 and I get a very special kind of warm, private feeling..

:)

Perhaps its in my DNA, hence my game name.

If there was one mech I wish would get treated to a serious "return to source art" treatment Mark, it's the Centurion.

The Cent will become taller if it's adjusted though, But I'm perfectly fine with that.

King Crab may win best reinvention by Alex, but he's saved so many bad designs that is hard to truly state.

Ditto on the Centy needing that change. Its present model both looks bad to me aesthetically, and is bad for gameplay on an already pretty weak chassis. Kind of a no-brainer to me to give it an update.

Best looking models imo?

King Crab
Kit Fox
Adder
Urbie
Arctic Cheetah
Phoenix Hawk
Vindicator
Hunchback
Viper
Rifleman
Cyclops
Gargoyle
Executioner

Worst looking models?

Wolfhound
Jenner IIC
Enforcer
Trebuchet
Ice Ferret
Hunchback IIC
Dragon
Quickdraw
Awesome
Warhawk
Direwolf

Lol, big improvement. Cent should be a bit skinnier.

Pretty Mechs? Is there such a thing? Is being a "pretty" Mech a desirable trait?

I do not know about any of that. Two of my favorite Mechs, and therefore the ones that I like to look at, are the Hellbringer and the Nova. I think that the one I like to look at but do not own is the Rifleman.

Generally, I love your list, but...I don't get this one. Lots of people love the VND's model. I just think it looks dippy. Always have.

The Jenner is my favorite design, but it just makes me furious every time I look at it now, and it will continue to do so for the rest of eternity unless we miraculously get a de-rescale of 35T mechs.

Raven would be my next choice, but the lack of the old laser barrels makes me sad.

But hey, who needs lasers on a Raven anyways?

I am attracted to things where the look matches the attitude matches the feel. The whole package. Looks alone don't move me. Attitude alone I tend to ignore. And without the first two insync I never find out about the third.

I am not a clan mech fan but for me the Warrant checks all boxes.

Phoenix Hawk (also very good Lyran Guards paintscheme, unlike - unfortunately - the Bushwacker)

The loyalty centurion looks great

Huntsman is my favorite aesthetically

I've always liked the king crab, despite its tendency to get cored out

I'd say warhammers, but that'd require the PPCs to stay in the arms, which we all know is not ideal in MWO.

Lastly, I love the bushwacker. It's ugly, but in a pretty way.

I love it with the SRM4/LRM5 ears, but they are death! So conflicted...

I've been enjoying the aesthetics of my Bushwacker recently. And my Catapult K2, of course. :P

I hope for this to happen, but I genuinely believe PGI could care less about how badly they missed the Mark on this old Mech (based on old comments over the years). The Centurion in MW:O has always reminded me of what a Mech might look like if based on a Sumo Wrestler locked in a semi-squatting position.

More specifically though, Dynamo from Running Man pops into my head quite a bit whenever I see my Centurions in the Mechlab.
