Overheat - Shutdown - Hit Override - Survived with score above 100 and a win....

Did that yesterday in a Maddog and today in an Urbanmech, no reward even after 5 hours.

I don't have an override button in my mechs. I have a "Stackpole" button. But I tried it yesterday, did almost all the things, and we lost on resources. Darn.

Except how I got it, isn't how they got it, *unless* it was delayed by an extra number of hours.

I don't understand what you are saying. You wrote in the other thread exactely what Dariq said (and what worked for me after testing it):

Yep, I was about to hit reply and realised exactly where I confused myself.

I was confusing Overheating but not shutting down with not Overheating again after the first time.

Okay so I would delete my reply-reply now, but that would leave your reply-reply-reply without reference.

Yeah, I had some difficulty finding it in the decal list too. At first it didn't show up in my 'owned' decals, but then I found it 'unlocked' in the general list. And after test-fitting it to a mech it finally migrated to the 'owned' list. Weird. Weirder still, I found others unlocked which I had no idea I had unlocked.

Data point: I accomplished this task in a quad-ERPPC Marauder IIC. Fired all 4 at spawn, shut down, override engaged (during startup if I remember correctly), then played the match normally (but carefully) with override on till the end. I don't know if taking damage from the overheat is required, but I did.

Overheat-->Override-->Shutdown-->Start up-->Live to deal over 200 damage-->Win the game. Simple as that.

This is indeed the case, it just takes freakin forever to update for whatever reason, compared to the other challenges.

tried all of the above and did not get the reward so I would say its broken or they did not explain it properly.

Just got "Hard Boiled"!

Only did one match for the last hour to see if it works.

You do need to overheat again while override is active after first shutdown.

So it is not like it is written on the event page, it should say:

In one match, engage Override after overheating, overheat again with Override active, survive the match, achieve a Match Score of at least 100,

I got mine and I can confirm you, this is the way to go: overheat, autoshutdown, activate override while the Mech is shutting down, overheat again until you hear bitchin' bettie say "override shutdown" (be careful not to blow yourself up!), then cool down, turn off the override, play the match, make 100 point and win.

It's been poorly explained in the challenge page. I hope this can help.

Here's how I did it:
- Intentionally overheated near the beginning of the match, shutdown and immediately hit override. Mech powers up again
- Left override on for the rest of the match, just to be sure
- Met the other requirements (survived, won, and got the needed score.)

Note that this was done in a Warhawk, which is a "chicken-walker." I don't think that matters, but it's just more data. So, if this data is of any value, there you go.

Hi there,
it is very poorly explained on the event Page... take into account that a sizeable portion of the playerbase are not native speakers that might have a hard time to get a translated explanation in time to do the event and you got a lot of frustrated players...
But what bothers me most is that you get the coolest reward for ******* playing. If you are not aware of the event and play normaly... only braindead and drunk players (and the occational madman who choose a WILD Posted Image playstyle) will trigger it at all. Anybody trying to be a valuable teamplayer will avoid triggering it at all cost. Situations where this kind of action would be a benefit to the team are almost a once in a lifetime event.

Although you are correct. There's one thing you forgot....During events the mindset is every man for himeself
