I love the improvement made to the game engine, interface, and graphics. However, one thing severely lacking are the sound effects in the game. My biggest complaint are the sounds of the autocannons. The cannons sound like they right out of 1980's generic sound board, they are terrible. They remind me of my MIDI bass drum sound back in the early 90's. The hum and gyro stabilizer sounds of some of the mechs is nice, however the explosion and general battle sounds needs a makeover. You don't feel at all like you are piloting a 100 ton mech with huge weapons. Most sounds lack punch and throaty bass, or are too overly digitized. Can we please get some real sounds effects into the game?

The IS AC/2 and AC/5; is a bit loud for my tastes. I want it to make less of a *clang* sound and something more towards an altered bass drum. The echoing could be reduced a bit, as well to have a softer sound.
The IS AC/10 could sound a slight bit more impactful; perhaps by volume. The quivering effect that comes with the echo after firing the AC/10 and AC/20 could also be toned down a bit. But otherwise, it's pretty good as is.
As for the entire IS LRM family. I kind of want to hear more of quiet *woosh* sound that's added. The roaring-fire effect could be a bit quieter but also more high-pitched. Maybe a flare gun being fired-off is of consideration.
