Analsysenratgeber einstelle.

/e: Wennst ned willst is ja kein Problem, dann sag es einfach.

Div. A

21st Jun Antares Scorpions --vs-- Phoenix Legion @20:00 UTC+1
TCAF II steht als Absteiger fest.

Div. C
Die Dudes sind durch. Glückwunsch zum ersten Platz in der Div. C!
GCGB „Shadow“ steht als Absteiger fest.

Div. D

https://www.reddit.c...they_shaped_up/

So I said to Lizzee I'd do this, so here goes.

Bear in mind I am not as familiar with EU as I am with NA, so as always YMMV when it comes to my comments.

Link to original predictions: https://www.reddit.c...ve_predictions/

EU - DIVISION A

EON Synergy - Prediction: 1st place. Result: 1st place.

No surprises here. Eon are probably one of the most well known EU teams left in the comp scene thanks to worlds. The start of the season was a bit slower than they would have liked, with a couple of 3-2 results, but after that it was consistent 4-1 and 5-0 results (barring one match against TCAF on 11 June). Even in those close matches they still destroyed almost all of the enemy teams. As said in Xcico's interview, hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. Lizzee (formerly of RJF) has clearly managed to fit in nicely, with multiple 800 damage + drops in Kodiaks with the team.

Black Spikes Team 2 (Yellow Submarine) - Prediction: 2nd place. Result: 2nd place.

2 for 2 for Petz so far. Some close matches against Eon and WDMC make up 10 of the 17 drops they lost all season - started off strong with a 3-2 result against Eon, though lost the rematch later in the season 5-0. A 4th May 3-2 loss to 9STS is the only result that really stands out.

White Death Mercenary Company: Prediction: 3rd place. Result: 3rd place.

As Petz said, they had a strong campaign in Star League, which definitely helped them for MRBC - there was no real ramp up or drop off to their form, with the exception of a 5-0 result against EON in week 7. That has to be balanced out by 5-0 results they inflicted on RJF, TCAF and 9STS however.

9th Sanguine Tigers - Prediction: 4th place. Result: 5th place.

Back in Div A after winning Div B comfortably last season, they did not at all look out of place here. As found in NA, there is a definite gap between the top teams in Div A and other teams looking to break into their ranks. While losses against TCAF both times would be disappointing, as well as the 5-0 loss against WDMC in week 6, wins against WDMC in week 1 and BSMC in week 4 are positives to take into next season.

Russian Jade Falcon - Prediction: 5th Place. Result: 6th place.

Losing 2 key pilots (Lizzee and GeneralAnasazi) did not help the team, and while there were some highlights to the season (the 4-1 result against 9STS in week 1 for example) early on, as the season went by the results became a bit more lopsided. I would say they're happy to have the season end, so they can rest and plan how to address the change in fortunes between worlds last year (where they were very impressive against Lords EU) and now.

Tikonov Commonality Armed Forces - Prediction: 6th place. Result: 4th place.

Very much a mixed bag of a season for TCAF - 4 weeks saw 3-2 results, while the other 6 weeks saw 5-0 results either for or against them. There's definite potential there, but a bit more consistency will be what they're aiming for next season.

EU - DIVISION B

Phoenix Legion - Prediction: 1st place. Result: 2nd place.

The matches between this team and AS look to have been close fought high quality on both occasions, and I wish I'd had a chance to watch them! With AS being promoted next season it'll be interesting to see if they are at a similar level to RJF who'll be coming down, or if there's still a gap there.

Antares Scorpions: Prediction: 2nd place. Result: 1st place.

It's good to see AS back and active again - the reinforcements Petz mentioned have well and truly bedded in thanks to consistent practice, and a chance to stretch their legs in Star League.

Won the division very comfortably, and I'll be interested to see what they can do in Div A next season - I think against Black Spikes and Eon they'll have some hard matches, but there's definitely scope for them to pick up wins and solidify their placement in Div A next season.

Russian Clan Wolves: Predicted finish: 3rd place. Result: 5th place.

Looking through their drops, 10 of their wins came against TCAF, with their close matches being against 12DG. This being their first season in MRBC is clear in their results, but there's scope for them to draw up to the middle of the pack (or even surpass them) next season if they focus during the off season and practice.

228th IBR "Golden Talons" - Predicted finish: 4th place. Result: 3rd place.

Golden Talons benefited from the inexperience of RCW (including a forfeit) and TCAF's weakness to take maximum points from those 20 drops. Their matches against 12DG were far more even, and their repeat match against AS demonstrated a lot of improvement compared to the first time they met during the season. With AS moving up it'll be interesting to see how they develop next season.

Tikonov Commonality Armed Forces Team II - Predicted finish: 5th place. Result: 6th place.

Forfeits in the last 2 weeks of the season, along with generally poor results throughout the season says to me that the team were demoralised and placed higher than they should have been. Tcaf is a large enough unit that they'll no doubt put together another team 2, but whether it's next MRBC season or if they'll need a bit more of a break I'll be interested to see.

12th Donegal Guards “The Sentinels” - Predicted finish: 6th place. Result: 5th place.

2nd place in Div C was a good result in S8, in S9 there was a lot of adjustment to be made - while a first match against TCAF was a good warmup for them, AS showed them the following week what to expect at this level of competition. To their credit they took it in stride, with 3-2 results against PHL and 228 the following weeks, before suffering an unexpected loss against RCW.

They're in the right place, and winning against PHL shows they have what it takes to compete at this level. Next season will demand a bit more consistency to improve their standing though.

EU - DIVISION C

331st Minnesota Tribe - Predicted finish: 1st place. Result: 2nd place.

Div C demonstrates very clearly the gap between the top teams in the division and the rest - whilst 3rd through to 6th place hover at around 9k rep for the season, 1st and 2nd are over 12k. Given 331st were 5th place in Div B last season they'll clearly be looking to take the division next season based on their performance this time around.

19th Striker - Predicted finish: 2nd place. Result: 3rd place.

First season in MRBC - managed to score some good wins against Dudes club, and minimised losses against comparable teams such as GCGB. Overall I'd say they'll be pleased with their performance and will be looking forward to improving on it next season.

Majestic 12 - Predicted finish: 3rd place. Result: 4th place.

I know Petz mentioned the huge roster in his predictions - forfeits in the last 2 weeks of the season cost them 3.5k rep, and but for that I believe they would have finished in 2nd place, having beaten 331 in close fought 3-2 matches on both occasions.

DudesClub - Predicted finish: 4th place. Result: 1st place.

Again, consistency delivers. Dude have been playing for 3 seasons now, and have been improving - this season they showed how to minimise losses (with their only one coming at the hands of the 19th Striker, a 3-2 game), while maximising bonuses wherever possible. Having come 1st in Div E in S6, 3rd then 2nd in Div D in seasons 7 and 8 - and now 1st in Div C, it'll be interesting to see whether they can make the adjustment to Div B, or if there'll be the shock experienced by a number of teams when they step up to the higher divisions.

GCGB "Shadow" - Predicted finish: 5th place. Result: 6th place.

Despite coming last in the division, I actually think this is the right division for them - their matches against teams other than 331 and Dude were all close fought affairs, and the rep total is close enough between the remaining teams that I'd be very surprised if they are moved down next season.

31st Hussar Regiment - Predicted finish: 6th place. Result: 5th place.

Only two real blowouts against them all season, against 19th Striker, and Dude. Promoted from Div D last season, like GCGB their matches and rep score show they're in the right bracket.

EU - DIVISION D

Black Vanguard - Predicted finish: 1st place. Result: 3rd place.

Looking through the names of this roster I'm honestly surprised to see they lost as many matches as they did - I believe that as Petz said, this was a season of bedding in new pilots, and the screenshots I've seen attest to that.

5th Falcoon Dragoons - Predicted finish: 2nd place. Result: 1st place.

6 drops lost for the season, consistent results against every team in the division with their closest match being a 3-2 win over Band of the Hawk. I think they'll be just fine in Div C next season.

1st Blue Vengeance Naglfars Journey - Predicted finish: 3rd place. Result: 4th place.

1st time in MRBC, and were definitely seeded correctly. Started off with a close fought match against Band of the hawk, and managed to end it with a 5-0 against Black Vanguard. Hopefully we'll see them back for next season, as I believe they're in the right place to grow in comp - maybe not rapidly, but incrementally.

Clan WidowMaker Epsilon Galaxy - Predicted finish: 4th place. Result: 5th place.

This season wasn't kind to CWM - they struggled for results, and I think could do with some practice or post season analysis of where things went wrong. They did get bonuses in some matches so the objectives are clearly being played for, but it's not translating to sufficient kills to win the drops.

Band Of the Hawk - Predicted finish: 5th place. Result: 2nd place.

I've played FW with a few of these guys, so I know that they know how to focus components and follow calls - their only losses came at the hands of 5FD, though despite the close margins 5FD managed to pull ahead on rep in both cases. This is their first season as a team in MRBC, and I think they'll have what it takes to win the division next season.

EU-DIVISION E

Independent Defence Industries - Predicted finish: 1st. Result: 1st.

"Mistakes were made!" Is their battlecry - the core of the unit is made up of ex 228/PL pilots, with a few others who've joined from elsewhere. I'm firmly convinced that most of their matches were won in the mechlab and the map strat - they took the time to research their opponents and do their homework, and the results showed on the battlefield even if the focus fire was at times a bit off. Moving up a division will be interesting next season, as they no longer have that unknown quantity about them.

Phoenix Legion ''Sons of Outreach'' - Predicted finish: 2nd place. Result: 3rd place.

This was a close run thing between PHL and GCGB for 4th place, with PHL edging them out for 4th based on minimising their loss to GCGB in the first match of the season, and in turn minimising GCGB's rep in their rematch later in the season.

GCGB "Ursa Major" - Predicted finish: 3rd place. Result: 5th place.

There is clearly a disparity of skill between members of this team, as there are some players scoring highly, and others that consistently scored lowly. The off season is probably a good time for internal scrims and to help get those newer pilots up to the same level as the rest of the team.

[12DG] Thunderstrike - predicted finish: 5th place. Result: 2nd place.

Small roster, which usually means a stable player base. This is a team new to comp play, and internal scrims against the other 12DG team will mean in S10 they focus fire much better than they did here.
