Yep seen a lot of this and another issue is the same players that run off to suicide in incursion also carry the same bad idea into other game modes.

Twelve games into Event, Not a single option to even pick the Incursion game mode yet. :-(

This event is a bust....

BTW, I was sticking to my guns and playing them out.

Had incursion like 4 times today but after long agonizing matches of skirmish, but rarely see people suciding down in tier 4, maybe I have looked hard enough. But still what a very immature way of not getting what you want in a video game.

This event may have escalated the problem but it is not a new thing. I have seen people suicide because they got something other than Skirmish and because they got the new Terra Therma a while back. In both cases, they treated us to a rant about how stupid we were for voting for whatever it was they did not like before they walked out of bounds intentionally. I have seen others not say a word but just overheat themselves and drop over at the beginning of a match.

Selfish players are nothing new.

I played for a couple of hours today, played in 0 Incursions, and saw 0 people suicide or disco. I saw a lot of complaining about the lack of Incursions.

PGI really screwed the pooch on this event. Specific maps and specific modes are the worst idea at an event ever. It just proves how totally and utterly incapable they are at planning and thought.

A commando with a smiley on its face came at me over saddle in crimson earlier today, faced me, stood still, swept his arms and he wanted to be killed.

Guess he didnt agree on the map mode.

Then we have afkers with moving ping (not d/c) ...

This **** is getting worse and worse.

Ive found the Solo Queue gets Incursion quite frequently (almost every other game), whilst in Group Queue you can go for an hour or more without seeing it.

...and FFS people, covering your Lights and Mediums is a thing in this mode. If you don't, you can very quickly end up losing, and many more people than normal are refusing to engage in their Assault Mechs. If you have 3 Mechs getting jumped by 4, why do the 3 extra Heavy/Assaults run and hide? If people just forget about the event and just play as they normally would, EVERYONE, you included, will get all the rewards faster

Instead, I decided to try out my new steering wheel on my RS1-based workstation.

its not suicide if you get 500 damage and 2 kills. its just aggressive play.

I don't always Leroy Jenkins, but when I do, I score 2 kills and inflict 500 damage.

played 10-12 matches yesterday, got it 5 times.. Played about 1 1/2 hours

Played 5-6 matches today, played it twice.. or was it 3 times? I forget exactly, but i have 4 matches counted on my IS account, one didn't, then 2 or 3 on my Clan. I really didn't play for long, /shrug


seams like it is coming up as much as any other mode.. Got at least twice as many incursion than conquest even as an option for example. But i guess some folks might just be having bad luck

IMHO, PGI should just cease doing any event that isn't a chassis leaderboard event.

I dunno why ppl get so bent outta shape over an event. When I rarely log in to play, I simply want to blow stuff up. If I get bonus items, that's fantastic. If I don't? I don't care.

But having an event dependent on a single mode that doesn't show up often is pretty ********.
