These posts make me laugh...

Go read their terms, anything you 'purchase' in this game, you DO NOT OWN. They could ban your account and you have ZERO right to request refunds for the money you've spent. You are leasing a digital product at the discretion of PGI, which is the way basically EVERY game with digital content works. Your account gets banned in CS:GO? Tough Luck. LoL? Oh well. WoW? Sucks to be you. You get NOTHING back.

That aside, the amount of salt over the 'tryhard' and/or 'wallet' warriors is absolutely hilarious. Please tell me again how you bought the mech pack only because it had the modules in it. Rule #1: If you're not buying the mech pack first and foremost, BECAUSE OF THE MECH, never buy one. Thinking of the additional content as a reason to buy the mech pack is your fault. The content in this game can be changed at ANY time by PGI because guess what? There is a DISCLAIMER saying they can that YOU AGREED TO. When you signed up, when you buy anything, you are agreeing that you are giving PGI money in exchange for use of digital content that they retain FULL CONTROL OVER.

Be happy PGI is willing to work on compensation for changing all of these things. Sometimes game companies say 'hah, no' and just change it causing you to lose time/money. Now, if you dislike HOW they're compensating you (i.e. the XP instead of CBills) then make your voice heard... In a way where you don't sound like a complete Blakist. Find a post where the topic is, add your voice to it. While possibly effective, spamming the same topic over again with your own OP is probably the worst way to do so.

Lies are intentional... I don't believe that PGI intentionally tried to decieve people regarding module refunds.

Congrats, you get a gold star.

Now, we will allow that PGI has the right to do this, If you will allow that we have the right to call them liars for doing what they seem intent on doing after saying they would give a full refund of everything for the last 5 months. A legal disclaimer does not negate the right of the customer to complain about decisions said company makes. It just leaves the customer with no legal course of action. So the customer is left with the options of voicing their displeasure and/or taking their business elsewhere.

EULA's do allow companies to legally do some scummy stuff. Just saying.

we were ganna get a full refind, but people complained about Edge cases,
they demanded that they get something for every ounce of work they did, even if they didnt lose much,
and PGI complied, and gave everyone what they wanted, a completely fair refund,
fair for everyone, but less that what was good for most of everyone,

THIS!!! They wanted to give you exactly what you're asking for now, and ppl lost their ****. The reddit turned into a Robojocks fan-thingy and Fantastic Tuesday ragequit. Thank these people and the rest of the cheapskates on their miserable little island. This is not on PGI but on them.

As I have been saying all this time, at least half of the problems with this game can be traced back to the very loud and whiny player base. <smh>

except its not fair for everyone

its completely unfair for people that spent hundreds of millions of cbills on modules because GSP is not a replacement for cbills. you cant buy mechs with GSP, and in order to use all that excess GSP, you need to buy dozens or in some cases even hundreds of new mechs which, you guessed it, all cost cbills.

we arnt talking about people losing a little bit here. were talking about THOUSANDS of games worth of cbills being flushed down the toilet and being replaced with a new currency thats useless unless you spend thousands of games more cbills on buying new mechs in order to use it all. and you wonder why people are livid?

this is !@#$ing stupid. PGI needs to do better on refunding modules. Give us 50% of the modules' value in cbills and 50% of the modules' value in GSP. Thats a fair compromise.

He means it is fair as in everyone gets the same thing, not that that same thing is as useful for everyone as each other.

This image sums it up.

you know, the easiest solution to all this is put the current sell back price for modules to 100% of their value, and any not sold back by patch day become gsp or whatever is happening to them.

personally I didn't go on a module splurge (honestly hardly use them anyway, as i just do quick play these days), so I guess its easy for me to say as im not really impacted either way.

The easiest solution is to give everyone full refund for all modules, and keep the current idea of 91 points = current mastered mech. That way every current mastered mech will continue to stay mastered with the skill tree. PGI will just have to live with the fact that there will be many c-billionaires once this hits. I still think the skill tree itself remains a convoluted mess, but this thread is about the refund and not what's wrong with the skill tree.

Not PGI but the whiny "cheapskate" playerbase is to blame for this and only them!

( Since Februar i buyed Modules worth 250 Millions Cbills and those will be 100% refunded! I can live with that. )

It is far from fair:

This is one of my biggest concerns and something not one person form PGI have commented on right there. I refit / tinker mechs constantly for:

Comp / Faction Play / Quick Play Group / Quick Play Solo

Right now it takes me 90 seconds tops and no cost (I have lots of inventory, modules spare etc) to refit mechs for whatever is going on, module up and off I go.
This new system I have to totally reskill each bloody time as well as refit it? Or my team in Comp wants to use slightly different attributes, again 10mins reskilling just to see if something works? You have got to be kidding me. What the hell?

I'm gonna need to purchase, potentially, 3-4 of each decent farken variant if I want to save myself HOURS in the Mechlab reskilling each time I want to do something different.

If you, PGI, are going to make my life a mechbay misery - I WANT MY FARKEN CBILLS BACK

Worst apology ever. Please explain exactly how this is the case. Because there is no change for those "Cheapskates". They are not effected at all because the are "Cheapskates". They have little or no Modules at all. Please stop brownnosing.

He is correct it is the cheapskates who cried about not having the cbills fully node out all the mechs with "module level quirks" they never owned. Before this we were all going to get cbill refunds. So now cheapskates get everything for free and we get extra upgrade credits.
