I haven't played with this much but i can say the improvements to the gui is great.

The speed of the menu is much faster now. There is no more lag.
The Click on the nodes is very fast.
The visuals on the nodes are better.
Sound effects on the nodes are welcome.
Switching I will call them menus is very nice now. It doesnt feel like you're out in space.

Only thing that might be cool is some type of visual texture on the back as a blank "black" area doesnt look great.
