This map encourages lance play by starting ALPHA lance on a High elevation, BRAVO lance on the middle, and CHARLIE down on the lower playfield.
If one team's ALPHA beats the other, the remaining have the height advantage on the BRAVO fight, etc.
IT'S LANCE VS LANCE COMBAT!

I really like the map idea. A huge dam to fight over would be cool but I don't think it would work out as Lance v Lance. I can't imagine a drop caller keeping the lances separated like that unless there is something about the map I'm missing that would force it.

The elevation changes are what force the Lance's to be separate.
ALPHA could abandon its fight, and drop down to help BRAVO.. but then enemy alpha has the high ground.
This method would dissuade use of the deathball and dropcallers, and encourage lance-callers [again, DISCORD would be able to help with the voice comms of faction/team/lance ;D]

I see where you are trying to go with this but I don't think it would end up working that way. An elevation change from alpha to bravo that is so steep that its difficult to get back up there would too steep to take good advantage of the height. Maybe if it was a hill with a steep grade instead of a drop off. Even so most mechs have difficulty looking down clearly. IT would seem from a weapons fire perspective the lower elevation would have an easier time hitting the higher targets who would, by necessity, be profiling themselves against the sky. Perhaps an actual DAM where the middle part is higher than the other two and the dam itself has a lip. I dunno. I'd need to see it in 3D.
A lot depends on the actual size of the map and grade of the elevation changes. I'm just trying to look at this from a drop callers perspective and just based n what I see right now I wouldn't be incentivized to keep my forces split.

lights have an easier time looking down than heavies. ;D
edit: obv they would have cover from the people firing up =D
each lane would have its own sparse horizontal and vertical covers as well. =D
double edit: also, BRAVO will be engaged in its own bravo fight, wont have time to be scanning the sky.. unless they win. ;D

HI - LOW - HI
or
LOW - HI - LOW
is what would be needed.
Oh, slow elevators maybe?

if you want lance play why not just have a 4v4 gamemode?
whats the point of a 12v12 gamemode if the lances are divided up and cant help eachother?

They cAn help each other. See the 4 stairways in the middle of the map.. control the middle and you have access to all zones.. (you could also just jump down/jj up)
