Hello all,

I wonder what will happen to the Mastery bundles once the new skill tree goes live, or for that matter if mechs will be sold in packs of three anymore.

Apologies if this has been answered already, I searched the forum but didn't find anything current information on the subject.

Good hunting,
CFC Conky

Probably get bundles that have a decreasing cost per mech added to the bundle:

1 mech = $12
2 mechs = $20
3 mechs = $24

They probably won't do anything to existing mech packs.

Man, if only they decreased the value of their old *** a-la-carte bundles, I might have bought some. But 55$ still for a Clan a-la-carte is just so dumb.

I still dont know who dont want to own more than one variant of a chassis. Beside the hardcore comp who only buy the meta mech.

They're likely afraid that If they decrease the cost now, they'll be inundated with requests from previous buyers to refund them the difference. Given the behavior of the typical MWO forum denizens, I think they would be right to fear that outcome.

PGI could do a temporary sale, at least. Posted Image

Might get away with that but a permanent price change would only invite some to return and drag their salt all over the floor.

I would sat keep the mastery packs, just rename them as bundles - decent price, gets you 3 versions of a mech you like.

Taking them away will cause people to whine about lost opportunites to purchase, changing the price invites refund arguements so just rename them, and stabilize prices (L $10 / M $15 / H $20 / A $25 ) add maybe through a house or unit decal in with them.

I thought that the value of the Mastery Packs was the Hero and the Champion 'Mechs ... the "basic" variant being mostly there to fill the gap.

At least it is for me, a bit cheaper than buying the Hero and Champion separately, 3 'Mech Bays to boot.

Honestly, while I would like a standardization of the prices, I hope they keep them as-is.

Weird that they said mech bundles were changing drastically if i recall and then when the Civil War mechs came out, they actually reduced the value (took away 30 days premium time from the Standard and Collector packs) yet kept the price the same. That was such a ,,i,, to everyone i was surprised more people didn't call them out on it.
