There are 70+ chassis in this game.

Do we really need another 40?

And only play the 110 chassis on the same 10 maps?

WOW

Some people..

i have a great idea - why not to add some game logic that will make all 110 necessary?
For example - mech choice by player faction Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

The only way to solve this so that everyone is happy is only to add mechs _I_ want. I can see no possible flaws in this plan. :D

I've been playing battletech from the time I was a small kid. (mind you I was born in 1985) But there are sooo many missing mechs that are cannon... Yes we're seeing alot of heavy hitting mechs and mechs that are somewhat ahead for where the time is at. So we've skipped the trial of annihilation of Smoke Jaguar, and the Trial of Refusal that happened on Strana Mechty after. BUT WE ARE MISSING DESIGNS that should be bread and butter designs. But the development team is doing what they can which I am happy about. But COME ON, if you can jump right to the FedCom Civil war with tech and mech designs you could at least give us the courtesy of having all the 2750/ 3025/ 3039/ 3050 mechs out. This isn't even talking about the modifications that pirahna has done on some of the designs. I mean the Maruader IIC looks like the Marauder II which outweighs it by 15 tons....... Or the fact that no matter what variant the Cicada is crap but you can make it a monster on MWO... Come on WE WANT MECH CONTINUITY with the FLUFF

We are currently missing

Ostscout
Flea
Hermes
Hermes 2
Firefly
Wasp
Valkyrie
Stinger
Vulcan
Firestarter
Wyvern
Watchman
Komodo
Hatchetman
Hatomoto-Chi
Charger
Dervish
Scorpion
Sentinel
Huron Warrior
Axman
Argus
Lancelot
Guillotine
Ostol
Ostroc
Champion
Crusader
Flashman
Shootist
Penetrator
Crossbow
Grand Titan
Goliath
Devastator
Gunslinger
Imp
Longbow
Thug
Spartan
Shogun
Sunder
Templar

AND SO MANY MORE

Then you have the issue of ghost heat which understandably is designed to keep the game balanced, but the fact it hinders clan mechs more than anything is outrageous. There are soooo many classic designs still missing but they are pushing forward with certain mechs and mech designs. With the Civil War pack coming out, Really Pirahna you should at least make sure you have everything out for 2750-3050 out in game before proceeding mech wise.

Thanks

You forgot

Clint
Whitworth

While I would like to see every mech from the original print of the 3025

The only ones, not unseen that are inclusion worthy by look, are the Dervish, Axeman and the Vulcan

Yes we are missing a lot of awesome designs that would be nice to have, but there is an important question to ask with those ... "do you want to buy a mechpack?"
- a lot of players are tired of getting new mechs and no content, there is only so much you can put into a PC game and it takes up a lot of money, time and effort to introduce anything new.
PGI is doing a pretty well job i dare to say, are they doing mistakes? yes, did they communicate correctly? hell no but i like the game, it is fun and their mechdesigns are awesome (maybe even more a reason why people want to see more and more mechs of them)

Mech packs are not going to stop coming....they are the primary source of income...plus I know alot of players who like new mech packs a month...do they want the other stuff as well? Yes, but we also realize Mech packs don't hinder or help other content move faster....Just the "Wanna buy a mech pack" crowd has thier heads so far up....oh nvm pointless debate cause probably have no idea how the business works.

I asked my self with more mechs what would i like to change.... why do i want some more mechs.... and the reason - just for the joy to ride them in battle.

For the feal of putting a left right left right combination of my Tiegard PPCs in that son - see the blue sparks crackling above his cockpit and the fear in his eyes when i open the flaps on the heavy SRM racks in the torso of my Mech.

Just the single combat stuff that I enjoy the most - but to drop in lobby or even to wait for another guy to drop is boring.

So an endless stream of simple death match would be awesome.
Large map (polar city) multiple start locations (maybe rearm and repair bases) and its everybody vs everybody.
I don't know if the server could calculate 36 or 48 mechs at the same time.

We had such a death match in the lobby and it was fun... (disabled hud) each moving mech was a target
you simple press drop and you are in - whirling around trying to survive trying to fight a little bit more - and when you are done - you jump back into lobby or else where and just hit drop again. maybe you get in the same whirling chaos or you get into another room

I would love if we got every mech from TRO3025 and 3039, which we have most of now. I mean at this point I am holding out for a a lot of mechs for the IS. The Firefly, the Osiris, the Owens, the Stinger, the Men Shen, the Lynx, the Sha Yu, the Vulcan, the Champion, the Crusader, the Dragonfire, the Hammerhands, the Flashman, the Nightstar, the Viking, the Sagittaire, and the Longbow.

But, hey, wishlist is a wishlist, polling is more listened to than a wishlist, whose ready for December announcement of the Marauder II? (it fits with last year the Marauder IIC, and the year before the Marauder). Oh well, I would love for any of those mechs to make it into MWO, Firefly (the SLE would be beastly), Owens, Men Shen, Champion, Nightstar, and Sagittaire the most of all of them as they are favorites from tabletop or personal pet projects for 3d modeling and printing.

Firestarter is missing?

Might as well be missing since it's 2/3rds the height of a Hunchback with no armor, structure quirks to show for it.

It's weapon quirks are also super anemic.

Any other light is better than it right now sadly.

Was one of my favorite mechs. :(

Pretty much this, I saw one the other day in game and mistook it for a medium, at a glance it looked like a hybrid Vindicator-Phoenix Hawk frankenmech, it has about the proportions of one. Far cry from early 2014 Firestarter.

Don't forget the missing Warhammer IIC, Rifleman IIC and the Firemoth that originally participated in the clan invasion. I think the Locust IIC and Shadowhawk IIC participated in the Battle of Tukayyid with a few odds and ends like the Horned Owl, Vixen, Phoenix Hawk IIC, and Naga. Honestly at this point I'll be happy and content with the complete MW2 roster.

If we add in the Clan 'Mech Unit Allocation Tables from Tukayyid scenario pack as companion for my list, we still need:

Fire Moth/Dasher
Howler/Baboon
Locust IIC
Incubus/Vixen
Horned Owl
Peregrine
Griffin IIC
Shadow Hawk IIC
Conjurer/Hellhound
Vapor Eagle
Glass Spider
Rifleman IIC
Black Python
Phoenix Hawk IIC
Warhammer IIC
Kraken
Bane
Behemoth

But UAT/RATs are just a selection of designs and not ever last design available in the timeframe, Tukayyid scenario pack was written prior to FASA removing the Unseen and TRO: 3055 was the newest Technical Readout so no way on earth can it include later stuff we were told was at Tukayyid like Huntsmans and Shootists.

You can't tell me you wouldn't love to see what Alex would do with the Hatamoto Chi design.Posted Image

I love the design of the Hatamoto-Chi, shield arms for days, has some good variants, the 27T, 27T Daniel II, 28T, 28T Shin, and 28Tr. The Daniel II would likely be the hero, and PGI would need to make one version. It has pretty narrow torso, but, tall, nice wide arms (as wide as the torso so great for shielding) but trade off of heavy fire power in most builds in said arms, not much in the ST's. Drop the sword for a M point in the RA or B, one of the two from the 28T Shin, should be fun though.
