I was watching some of the official gameplay videos, and something struck me as odd.
There was a vid with a mech firing lazers through some trees, but the trees were unaffected, they didnt even burn. Also they did not appear to be knocked over when the mech pushed into them.
This does not seem the correct way to go, cover such as trees, buildings, and small rock outcrops should be destructable imho.

Well, thats very old footage and stuff like destroyable environment (especially trees) isn't that important right now.
Let them work on a functioning and well balanced 'Mech Combat Simulator first, the rest will come with time.

Well maybe they are doing something about that but I would like to think it is just computer performance thing.
Of cuorse it would look better if surroundings were affected by lasers, explosions and other stuff.

it will be in there. im positive, every mechwarrior game i played had destructible environments, if it wasnt then that'll just be sloppy.
