So, I found there's a new decal system in the camo/colour spec part of the mechbay. I have two decals available to me, but so far I haven't found anything that's told me how to unlock more...?
Are they an event-only deal? Are they linked to achievements? Are they unlocked by purchasing certain mechs? Were they just randomised amongst the player base?
I picked Steiner when I had to choose a faction, but I don't have a Steiner decal. That just seems weird...

You either pay for them with MC, win them in Challenges, or get them in early adopter reward packages when you pre-purchase a Mech Pack with cash.

So outside of winning them through events or getting them as part of a mech pack pre-order you need to buy them with MC. They came in two variants: Premium at 500MC all faction decals are part of these for instance and the regular ones that cost 180MC (not 100% sure actually).
The best thing about decals is that when you get a certain one it will be unlocked for ALL of your mechs. It's a single purchase infinite use item, just like colors, which is something I really like.
