Buying any mechs but Heromechs (during sales) with MC has never been a particular good idea.

You might want to buy only one of the mechs. with the new skill tree you only need one mech not 3 to master the mechs

MC purchase is very much a bad deal. I suppose you wish to buy the reinforcement one--well now you can, without having to spend $35.

It doesn't, PGI even states that it is a better deal to buy the full pack than to piecemeal it with MC right under the announcement.

Only reason to buy with MC is if you really only wanted to get one and really didn't want to spend the money to get the pack.

There is a saying, it goes kinda "Every day one idiot wakes up". I mean there are people buying one virtual item for thousands of Dollars. So as a serious businessman you are obliged to offer these customers the chance to pay lots of money.

I am not a business expert but neither to me make any sense. Apart from particular occasions, buying with MCs is not convenient if you can buy with real $ in the store / gift store.
I used MCs only for:

• mechbays;
  
• hero mechs during sales;
  
• some one-shot camo patterns;
  
• some selected mastery packs;

One lucky guy may have gotten enouhg free MC to not spend real money.

aside form this, yes doesn't makes much sense.

It makes sense when you have earned enough „free“ MC via Events and Challenges for one SNV and simply cannot wait any longer (until it becomes available for C-Bills). Buying MCs for buying 'mechs never made any sense, AFAIR.

Also, sales, when there ever will be a 50% sale it makes a somewhat proper sense deal without the rule of 3.
