While overall I think they really got the torso all wrong (not the modelers fault this time, Alex's concept really missed the lore mark, for a change), leg's look skinny enough to maybe make the Light Jocks a little happier.

I regret not getting the basic pack pre-order. I've been wanting to replace my Firestarters and Spiders.

Still though, I love how the helmet of the Javelin looks, I will likely pick up one when it hits Cbills, not that interested in it (otherwise I would have pre-ordered it), I hope it is popular because it would be a nice addition to the battlefield to see around like the Assassin (though that is rare).

At someone that understands this stuff better than I, why am I getting this when I have the Assassin? What does it offer that I can't do on that platform?

I guess at least 4-6 AC 20 shells could fit side by side between its legs.

Even Alex can't save some mechs, Trebuchet bad before, trebuchet bad after.

Honestly I have a really hard time making anything work on the Javelin in Megamek Lab. Just, to make use of that engine cap and the missiles, you end up in a situation of you have like 2xSRM4 + 2 tons of ammo and an XL240 with ECM and no JJ's. I mean you want to go fast due to you don't want to get over run too easily by other mechs that can equip similar engines, but, that isn't a real spooky load out. Javelin 10F I kind of want, 4xML with 5JJ, LFE270 putting it over 140kph, tweak putting it at 156kph, 43m of jump distance. I mean, not that spooky, but, poky, or just go XL240, 4xMPL, and 1JJ on it, but slower, but, gets the fire power out faster. Feels weird to try to use missiles in a 30 ton mech so exclusively.

It's not about how large of an alpha you can cram in the little guy - this is a shoot n scoot chassis.
Two ASRM4's can do some real damage when applied effectively, just do it when someone else has the enemy's attention. You lack the muscles to beat someone into oblivion, you have to whittle them down instead.

javelin could have been fine, just by bulking up the upper torso, like in lore, in stead of giving it saggy **** like a 90 year old beast bosomed chick.
