Considering that some of us only want to enjoy senseless shooting other robos - without coordination without frustration "just me and my mech"

what about to add the most simple of all game modes - death match or grand melee (although this could be a "Last Man Standing"

Its a open for all game mode - you can just hop in (open lobby)
you fight on your own against (23;35;47) other guys
no teams

of course there could be different options -
respawn (drop decks)
repair bases
multiple spawn points
...
paycheck is based on time in the ring.

In the past, I've convinced my group to do a few no-HUD free-for-all matches and they were a lot of fun, except for the guy who brought LRMs for some reason. A free-for-all mode would be a lot of fun, though it could cause a few issues.

Light mechs would be at a big disadvantage, but this could be solved by normalizing the rewards by weight class. For example, the 1st place light mech could get roughly the same exp and C-Bills as the 1st place heavy mech, even if the heavy mech greatly outdamages the light mech.

It would be difficult to include a free-for-all mode in the group queue even though it would be a lot of fun to spend a match teamkilling. Teams could easily exploit this kind of mode by forming a truce, giving larger groups an unfair advantage over smaller groups. I'm not sure how to solve the group queue issue other than by limiting this free-for-all mode to the solo queue.

yep also had a HUD free game - with Vindicator Trials only PPCs no MLAS allowed

no group solo only - as simple as possible.
on a big enough map lights have the speed to attack any target - they don't need to stick to a single target

If its only about the damage done a light mech can just run through the lines, spreading damage everywhere.
Also I agree, no groups. Would be a nice big stomping.

This game mode worked well in MW4 multiplayer, so why not?
It would have to be separate from QM and FW. A third button along the top there.

more the kind of a grand meele - althoug this would be more like last man standing.
i think the "deathmatch" would be either - a kind of lobby style - when you leave the match you open some room for another one.
or it would be 5-10min unlimited respawn - and you get some penalty for dying...

I persionaly would be absolutely fine with 1v1v1v1 but I doubt I would enjoy a free for all with more than 4 players, however if this was something you had to opt into I would be ok with it existing, just so long as it is not made a regular quick play mode.

Ah the day we have enough players to support QP, FW and Solaris....one can still dream Posted Image

I mean basicly I would kinda do it like this:
QP -> Skirmish, all day, done. Go in, shoot some people in 12v12, be done with it.
FW -> Asymetric gameplay (Siege) and Conquest. Because these are the two modes that I consider the most fun in FW.
Solaris -> 1v1, 2v2 and 4v4 leagues. This is where people come to climb the leaderboards.

With that you would have a space for quick matches in groups and solo (QP).
Then a playground for big teams (FW) and also a place for single players and small teams (S7)

Every group would have its place

PS: Another idea for QP...just have one big map with people just dropping in on a ongoing battle, 24/7
