Think a second about it. What is the AirControlTower supposed to do, if you hear about it the first time?
-block the enemy Air Strike for a period of time?
-shoot down enemy LRMs over the entire map for a period of time?

No! Apparently it spawns devastating dropships over the enemy base in a specific cycle. But those dropships only target mechs and noting else!!!!

WTF?

The first time I encountered this was, while I was in a Locust-3M today, delivering a battery to my friendly base. I was ONE-SHOOTED! by a dropship that appeared out of nothing!

While the drop ship can one-shot a mech, it leaves the enemy base defences and mission objectives with 100% health and don't shoot anything else but mechs. Why? The devastating dropships can one-shot mechs but leave the main objective untouched!???

So the AirControlTower can send devastating, all destroing dropships, over to the enemy base and are untouched by the defenses, and can not even damage the mission objectives a little bit? Am I the only one having a problem with that?

Originally it was summoning a Dropship to defend your own base but that was changed due to feedback from the PTS. Personally I would like it so the Dropship when it flies in causes turrets to pop up and you see the dropship prioritize turrets over mechs and the turrets prioritize the dropship over mechs so it gives cover. A bit more utility to it, if it instead attacked objectives then the mode would suck. I much rather the DS be about softening the base than destroying it, it should soften it and give recon for a few moments as well as soften defenders, far more useful than an automated "I win button" if it attacked base objectives at which point why would command even call in mechs on the ground if drop ships can just nuke the base?

I would rather have it act as a AMS with the same range as the Jaming Tower. This dropship thing is illogical and game breaking, imho.
