This is also a thing that happened.

With the Civil War update fast approaching, we're looking set to just completely skip over that time when the Inner Sphere decided to reconstitute the Star League and go do a little dance on Smoke Jaguar's face. I mean, c'mon, it's not like we even have Comstar as a faction, so why do we need to be doing Tukayyid for a third time when we could have a completely new lore event? It's not as though it'd require any new assets the game doesn't already have.

C'mon, look me in the eye and tell me it wouldn't have been better than Tukayyid 3: Groundhog Day. We're missing a golden opportunity to catch the faction map (and the faction list) up to where they should be as of the 3060s... completely devoid of any trace of Smoke Jaguar!

With a bit of re-writing, PGI can easily turn this into a "Battle for Huntress" event, with other Clans helping out the space {Godwin's Law}. Won't happen though. :(

I already lived that. The honorable warriors of House Kurita reduced pathetic Smoke Kittens to a single planet in CW phase 1.

It was a better time of planet tags and national honor, not the current garbage of mindless merc seal clubbing.

Why are you guys saying that Tuk3 should have been Bulldog?

I'm kinda thinking Operation Bulldog will happen AFTER Tukayyid event, because it would be a wasted opportunity not to.

When Civil War hits, map will be reset, factions might change and shift, map might be redrawn.. And Bulldog will be a nice event..

Absolutely no reason why the last Tukayyid should not happen.. there's time enough for all of it..

Keep in mind there's probably a reason why they will be locking FP after Tukayyid 3.

Also, there's probably a reason why the map will be (once again) reset to starting positions. And then bulldog will happen, just before Civil War..

I bet you it will..

If they changed the name to Operation Bulldog then it would be happening after Tukayyid...1 and 2.

This. ^

The outcome of the Operation Bulldog could be the following:
- IS wins: Clan Smoke Jaguar is removed from the game (terminated), replaced by Clan Nova Cat.
- Clan wins: Clan Smoke Jaguar stays in the game (and Clan Nova Cat is added?)
And we move the timeline forward to the 3060's.

It would also be the perfect opportunity for PGI to use those Clan homeplanets forgot in the faction map.

Want a planet that can tell a story of endless battles by now almost every existing faction?

Call it Hesperus II

(not so sure about Liao and Ghost Bears)

I would expect PGI to do an Operation Bulldog event the weekend after the civil war mechs/equipment drop

Of course, PGI has failed to meet expectations in the past...

Edit: nevermind.... Operation Bulldog has nothing to do with Civil War....got confused there for a second..

Should have just skipped any lore association and just called it:

Operation: Getting Ready for another Map Reset.
Or
Operation: Hey Community, This is Another Effort to get Casuals to Play CW, so Here are a Bunch of Rewards so Please, Please, Come Play it...Please?
Or
"Operation: Russ Said at the Last Round Table That CW Would be Focused on This Year, Since its May we Better Have a CW Event so we can say "See we Focused on CW This Year".

Oh it has - look you know after some months in the periphery small victor wanted to see his girlfriend.
so when he came back - he realized oh i've lost my heritage.... ok but more important things first... Hello Omi

when he had claimed that darn throne it he same moment instead of drinking coffee Kathrine would have be removed in the very same second.... but well....

Well, duh, that would mean someone at PGI would actually have to read the novels and become familiar with the lore.
