I am just wondering. How did my team build an incursion base that close to an enemy base? Wouldn't one of those bases been assaulted during the construction phase?

If I had a base in River City and I saw the enemy team constructing a base across town, I sure as heck wouldn't let them finish building it. I would use a fuel cell, call in a dropship, and destroy their construction vehicles.

Man, it seems like the incursion game mode only makes sense as an Assymetrical game mode...

Base has been there for centuries. Major fortified area. The other team just came in and took over one of the bases, and are pushing to take the next one. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I want to know why neither base was built on top of the unlimited and indestructible power sources that lie in between them. Or why they didn't build the bases out of the material that those indestructible power sources are built out of.

No, those bases are absent during non-incursion matches. That means they are makeshift.

Or, why we're the bases' power supplies installed that far away from the bases?! What idiot engineer was responsible for this design?

The technology to avoid the red base/blue base syndrome was lost after the fall of the Star League. The Clans were suppose t9 bring it with em, but the guy incharge of it, Bob, forgot it.

I know of only one reason: MVP.

<That's "minimally viable product" to the uninitiated.>

Perhaps the world was occupied by both factions and the bases were built on opposite sides of a DMZ and now war has broken out?

The same idiots who designed the gates in Faction Warfare that fly open when the power generators get knocked out. Because, you know, if you lose power in your base the first thing you want to happen is all the doors to fly open so the enemies can walk in.

I mean, Bob doesn't even have a bloodname. He's a pleb-caste freebirth like all of us one-name types. Tough job for Bob.

Clearly both bases were dropped from orbit in a big egg thingie. By accident they ended up close together.

The same reason why the VIP won't just go with the dropship that's already there when you dropped.

Don't think hard about it, it's just a game. :P

Those aren't really bases in the traditional view, notice the wheels and tracks under the "buildings", those are just command vehicles and jury rigged field defenses (foxholes). As for the VIP, i just see him as being like that moron steiner/lyran prince that you escorted in MC, some doofus arm-chair general who wants to see the nitty gritty battlefield and takes a stroll despite being green-rated.
