so far the event has generally been pug life cancer.

It's not the mechs, it's the players. There is absolutely no matchmaker in FP, and clanners are more organized.

Huh. So, why would so many units, especially top tier units, consistently go clan every single Tuk event?

Hmmm....

The only reason there's any mercs in IS at all is A) some were trapped by the short notice and B ) it was their best odds of getting top 3 unit in that faction.

That's it.

My unit got stuck in IS but we're switching off to clan ASAP. The only reason to play IS was because of high rewards but the event makes it so even if you take a -30% contract the 500k daily cbills and mc offsets it.

If by "more organized" you mean "has more 12 man premades" then yes, but why do the clans have all the premades? Because clan mechs are better, and premades like to win. Duh.

I play FP solo and I see often PUG Clan vs PUG IS with no units, all different units ect. The biggest differences are not in skill but in mechs.

While i generally agree, i sometimes have the feeling of a self fullfilling prophecy: when the Clans have destroyed the first IS-wave, sometimes the IS literally stops to defend itself/does stupid things "because Clans are op and they don't have a chance" instead of wiping out the heavily damaged Clanners and make a push.

Why? because they cna make a similar event again nd then can in first place compare this event with the next one. and this will show them how much impact skilltree and new tech impacted the balance compared to the old system.

SJR, EMP, OZ, and D5 were all dropping as Smoke Jags right after it started and when they stopped dropping together some of them grouped up to keep playing. Couldnt imagine why it jumped up so quick.

Well some merc units were caught by surprise. They are howling for PGI to reset the merc contracts so they can join the clasns but they currently are in IS contracts, probably for the C bills.

The clan side has entire units dropping, you see the same identifier 8-12 times and on the IS side maybe three or four people have the same ID tags on them. I think that has an affect on things as well
