I guess you underestimate the power of whales, old BTech farts and lore nerds powering this game since it's inception. There are many people who literally buy EVERY mech pack when it is anncounced because... reasons.

I was beginning to become one of those people. I've purchased IS pre-orders packs, MC, already released mechs, and a few of the hero's since I've started playing, but cancelled whatever was pending over the skill tree design. I realized long ago I hate the way I feel after spending money on a game where the designers ignore player suggestions that solve a problem better than what the designers came up with.
This event should have happened after the tech release not before. It should have been built up in announcements and on the website so people could be ready. Imagine the excitement of trying to use the new tech to see if a repeat of previous events could have happened. Instead the forums indicate it's just more of the same.
So now I'm back to not spending money here and waiting for the next BT game to come out to spend money on. It's almost as if PGI is trying to force people away from the game.

Good games are possible, I've had several. The key as ever is coordination.

Valient, is this your one-and-only account? This kind of complaint usually comes from someone who has been following the game development and playing for a while before it cropps up.

This event is a great success, much better than the battery hunt debacle.

Some might consider it a failure because it's not fun to lose match after match after match. While the payouts might be high the reward of a fun gaming experience is low.

I'm sure you just gave the Devs a sleepless night over that deceleration.

Assuming you arent just an alt... Almost no one ever plays Faction Wars outside of these yearly events. Just play Quick Play like the rest of us where the mix makes everything better. If you dont have any mech to your name and arent build to the best of their potential you shouldnt even consider FW. The rewards are nice though, identify which ones you can get without too much troubles.

Nah. My purchasing tactics have long changed.
1. Will only buy Clan mostly, some IS if I like.
2. Will buy the Standard pack and that's only when they are about to be released.
3. Will access on the Standard Pack first before buying Hero or additionals
4. Will cancel any prepaid packs made early if I don't like where the management is going

They didn't introduce anything. They just left some of the structure and armor quirks in place so they could shrug and go "lol see IS still has quirks, totally OP".
