Ok, I think I've seen both sides of this thing now.
First time, the entire enemy team (a twelve man unit) failed to drop, so we got to harvest 48 mechs for salvage. Saw that twice now.
Second time, we got the whole "waiting for data" thing up to launch, then sat in the loading screen until it dumped us.
Not sure what the point of this new "feature" is, but it's annoying (obviously a feature, not a bug. working as intended, of course).
Would someone hurry and buy a damn mech pack so they can hire someone to come fix it?

Had this in my last match, My team had a pretty easy win against a premade that mostly failed to drop. Pretty much left the base undefended because the other team wouldn't try to raid it, pretty much overran the other team at their own LZ and headshot the rest.

Yeah, we found the same sort of match, where the enemy team had ten discos.
Then, a few matches later, I found I had a 5 minute penalty, which was confusing, and then someone else in our team noticed our QP button was replaced with "REJOIN", and we had two active matches going on. I rejoined one, and it was an enemy team doing the same thing to us, we somehow got launched on two extra FW matches. Servers seem to be borked.

I think the servers are a bit overloaded.
It took an hour and a half for my scouting wins to be counted, last night.
I've also had a few team mates DC and others complain about lag, when they usually have solid connections.
..and even the forums have been giving me issues with taking forever to load a new post or register a post like.

I actually thought it was like PGI giving us cake when a whole team of Clanners didnt connect adn we could farm them all day long.
I mean we as IS are getting shitsadwichtes now almost all of the time, so if they give us cake like this at least 1 per 10 games. Im good with getting farmed by opclans.

There's definitely something wrong here.
On top of the harvesting matches, it seems to be stuck on Siege and I haven't seen a "defend" since yesterday. Not only that, but the meter isn't moving much, either.

Hello im gonna chime in at this point beacuse there is not point me making another thread on this issue.....
i've literally just had the whole dropping with 11 d/c'd TCAF members vs some RCW guys and bradigus (not mentioning names to call out anyone; if you see this thread please just confirm this for me) and yeah it would appear its just picking rando groups cos the 11 man got dropped but the RCW's were a 5-7 or summat and none of the enemy team d/c'd which was a bit random....
anyways yeah servers overloaded clearly whats happening; sad really... we all wanted people to play more faction play with awesome events....... and once again its "captain larry let down" from pgi again.

And there seems to be an "inbetween" as well. I had one where I sat with the "Waiting for Data" message for about 4 minutes before it dropped. Four of us (solos) managed to drop, but the other eight never managed to connect.
I'm not a technowonk, so I don't know the proper terminology but....it seems like the servers are constipated.

The servers are occasionally creating "mirror matches", where you find yourself and some of your team totally there, and the opfor not there. To them though, your team is not there, and their entire opfor is there.
So, you shouldn't entirely be surprised when the game holds you for 2 minutes for not being in a match that you couldn't have possibly be in, but yet "was" due to this behavior.
The disco penalty is the stupidest thing ever due to PGI's own awful servers.

I am not posting much on these forums, but yesterday evening FW play was frequently interrupted by groups disconnecting. My small team noticed this:
Clicking the launch button resulted in either nothing happening for say 10 seconds. So the group leader clicked once again. We joined a match. One of us got disconnected and noticed that his rejoin button showed 2 matches going on.
Or after clicking launch, a message came up saying "failed to find a match" and 10 seconds later the "searching" message came up.
We had multiple matches with 5 to 8 players in our team missing.
Stopped playing after the third match with these kinds of bugs.
