I played for a straight 8 hours right the very minute the event started and enjoyed every single bit of it till I am too exhausted to play more! This is truly awesome as it felt for once like a real war taking place within the battletech universe rather than just a disjointed battle like FP always felt to me, hence the power of context, no matter how little you see of it ingame, the context itself changes the feel of an otherwise no different from random battle. Finished the scouting rewards within the first 2 hours and have been pugging invasion since. Honestly, my wins and losses in invasion is 50/50 so I don't see how Clans are kicking *** and getting that kind of score unless I am dropping in very unfortunate games indeed. If that score is mostly due to certain units, then its not the mech, its the unit and the insane practise time they put into the game so far.

All in all, this is my best experience with MWO so far... thank you PGI!

those are some beefy prizes for a participation trophy. play 4 games a day and you should get all the prizes (8 if you are a potato).

Clans are at 97% as we speak, even though a lot of good units such as EVIL and 228 are on IS side. Yeah it is tech difference. CXL is just so pug friendly.

True. Nothing says PPC-Gauss meta like clan-tech.

Believe it or not, without a unit it's difficult to win scout matches with Clan. But invasions on the other hand, no matter what you bring or do, it's difficult to lose.

what I would like to see is the true W/L ratio of the matches, when one side only has 51% win rate afte enough cycles they still end up with 97% ownership. over time. better would hve been a point trackers that makes the faction with more wins the winner in the end. it will at least truly show how WL between both sides are.

While that could become the case, remember, the tug of war bar was consistently around 90% for the Clan side, from the start.

Yes, Scouting is easier to do for IS at the moment, though 50 ton limit for the Clans has something to do with it. The base tech is still imbalanced, as we can see.

I think the 50t limit was made because too many people couldn't handle streakkcrows which imbalanced heavily ebtween the pugs. tbh, scouting iin intel gather is way too often played like skirmiswh. grabbign as much intel as possible, no matter if attacker or defender is a good thing as you deny your opponent the intell. but this needs quick mechs. the SCR was quick and had a lot of firepower so vs IS pugs seeking skirmish it was just a bit of an autowinbutton as noob bugs could't overcome the SCR's skill wall. but generally SCR isn'T that amazing if you play scouting by the scouting rules.

The end result is the same. Clan Scouting deck had to be nerfed. Clan pugs have had it easy with CXL and CSSRMs in scouting.

Funny how it is the Clan pugs currently who cannot get over that 5 ton difference, never mind that Huntsman, Nova, and HBK-IIC-B are all as potent as IS 55 ton Mediums, when piloted well. Guess CSSRMs had taught them some bad habits, eh?

more like noob pug habits. We use exlcusively IFR''s as thy have good punch and the needed speed to deal with anything that comes up. NVA and HBK are weak due to their speeds but in that ranks of "skirmish is the only gameplay MWO has" members NVA and HBK work very well.

It's nice to be actually winning matches instead of being on the wrong side of a stomp for once.

For somebody who has seldom played FP I'm really enjoying the event, except for my last couple games where I got rather grumpy.

I mostly play solo (though happy to group up). Majority of the games I have played have been puggles vs puggles, fairly close and fun. (Some matches were one sided when either team wasn't communicating or brought really average decks... also when we got stomped by premades... (one game vs evil was unbelievably bad, lead a person to drink bad, comical in hindsight)

Honestly Assassins boating SRM's are pretty potent out of the IS for scouting due to how little ammo you really need for scouting. The loss of the Stormcrow is not that bad since really the Huntsman is capable of doing it's job just as well at the SSRM vomit as well (even ignoring the hero pods) if people want to be lazy about aiming. The current Clan 50 ton options are pretty strong but beatable without the old crow's funky hitboxes.

Easy to get W/L ratio. Faction points are just win points for players as stated for leaderboards.
So, get a summ of points for IS and Clan and divide Clan points on total.
Last time i've checked it was about 54% WLR for Clans.

Your still bitching about streaks in scout mode? Didn't see one mech with streaks on my side. Most of the time we where Hunchback IICs with 4x ASRM6 and Novas. And a Huncback stills runs 96kph what is faster than most splat Griffins.

As far as my experience with it , if there are no big , or good, groups on ether side the side defending wins these invasion matches, without coordination there is no big push and no O-gens destroyed so just one long skirmish for damage and match score...

Similar to scouting, the side gathering has a big advantage , the only lances giving us problems were lances of a locus/jenner + 3 max speed griffons with srms, on defense just try to kill a few as the game modes are very biased to one side so if you aren't on that side we just went to get the most out of them and no be bothered if we can't stop them...
