But a lot of big teams are on Clan side... and IS players are always trying to poke against clan and get destroyed...
Put std engine on most of your build for durability and ram them, they are guarding and sniping most of the times... poking and camping for IS = death

I AM A MERCENARY UNIT LEADER, WE PLAY USING BOTH TECHNOLOGY TYPES AND HAVE NO BIAS TOWARD ONE TYPE OR THE OTHER.
Clan 'Mechs have the opportunity to mount high-alpha strike weaponry but at a huge cost of heat, the EBJ with 5xML/2xLPL can put out 68 points of damage ONCE and then it has to cool off, run the override or switch to staggered chain fire. Whereas the 3x LPL/4xML WHM can put out 54 (I think, can't remember exactly) and then again before cooling, or switch to chain fire on the LPL to keep putting out damage. So if the WHM pilot knows this he/she will use cover to close range and then put both of those alpha strikes into the EBJ's CT, then finish it off with the LPL's.
Neither side has a massive advantage and virtually everything has a counter, the key is knowing what they are and how to use them.
The best piece of advice I can give any pilot is to get on one of the faction hubs, group up and work together. It's amazing how a little team work can change the flow of a game and in turn your enjoyment.

That is apparently PGI's plan. I'm sure it will all be fine.

some units know hwo to win on IS side, maybe if those others would adapt what they do, more would win, but too many play the gam the way they want and complain about failing.

For what it's worth, what I've been noticing down here at potato level is:
- Even though Invasion seems to be dominated by Clan, scouting is dominated by IS. Wondering if that means the organized units are focusing on getting that part of the event out of the way first.
- Skittles are skittles. IS has just as many, if not more, terribads than Clan does. Our PUG matches (when it's potato vs potato) are definitely going to the Clans. But, that being said, we're dropping more NARC and spotters than they are as well.

+1 million.
Have had some great games tonight against some solid teams and we've definitely lost a few of them.
Jump in LFG and drop into some of those units Teamspeak servers actively looking for groups and you will be picked up. Best way to learn.

It's a poor workman who blames his tools.
Enjoy your QP, sounds like you belong there.

As has been sad 100,000,000 times before: The clan tech advantage only shows itself when you have equally matched teams playing. First, it shows itself, only slightly, when you have two very good teams playing each other. Second, and more importantly, it shows itself when you have to groups of scrubs fighting and then it becomes a HUGE issue. In this event, many of the battles are scrub vs. scrub and, in that instance the clans will win.
given that the game-victory slider is a linear slider, the balanced games of good vs. good are nullified twice over by scrub vs. scrub games.
The truth that the precious little snowflakes need to either embrace or shut the frig up about balance is that you ONLY come to FW with your meta, or near meta mechs ready. No dropping in your scrubby LRM atlas. Now, if you resent being told what mechs to take into FW because you wanna play your way -- then stop complaining or stay in QP.
(And by you, I don't mean you personally OP, just all the people I hear, in game, complaining about clan-tech while they are SSRM2 kintaro).

That's outta 40 odd drops. So, yeah... Organisation = Wins. I'll take 40/2 any day of the week.
EVIL are also rolling basically, everyone. 3 games against RCW - they were so scared they wouldn't even push in the gates in SIEGE. Funny as all hell after the crap they were spouting.
