whereas laser vomit wastes virtually no damage. so if youre aiming for a specific location like a side torso theyre far more lethal than csrms.
for close range brawling, clan small pulses is where its at. ridiculously heat efficient and you can put all the damage exactly where you want. and for fighting at longer ranges, like around 400m, I prefer streaks.
generally in scout mode, if youre the defender, you wanna kill the enemy lights first, because if they run away they can evade you and get to the dropship and win. streaks are great for killing lights.
I understand how laser vomit is better in some hands. I just can't get why clan srms are garbage, while IS srms are ok. Yeah, bigger spread, and FRR guy mentioned they are 15% weaker than IS srms. But come on, they are TWICE lighter, and need TWISE less slots. I didn't see any stats about those extra 15% of DMG, but let's say it's true. Then let's look at the example: 4 IS srm6 = 12 tons without ammo and without artemis. In 12,5 tonns you can fit 5 C srm6 WITH ARMETIS, and they will deal more DMG, and will have way way tighter spread. How is this weaker than IS srms?
