Not having read thru all the posts in the thread, I suppose it would depend on if we're talking from the perspective of the time period MWO is set in, or the overall history in all the books and Tech Readouts thru the years. Equally split Kurita/Liao if from the game's period. Far and away Liao if we're talking overall history. If you ask me, Sun-Tzu Liao is the one who broke any chance for a lasting cooperation between the Great Houses after the Great Refusal and ultimately allowed WoB to act so decisively, ushering in the Dark Age. Too bad he only inherited Maximilian's gift for treachery and not his insanity.

P.S. Although the FedCom War probably didn't help much in that regard, either. Katrina's such a be-och...

From the forums I've grown to hate my favorite team, the FRR. just because the more I look at FRR forums the more I find everyone wants to be space vikings instead of an awesome democratic nation with small royal bearings.

In this universe MW4 hasn't happened yet. So we aren't randomly evil all of a sudden. Also, Kurita is boring and Davion is interesting? I think you got the two mixed up. Kuritans may be evil baby killers, however they're anything but boring. And Davion... interesting? Come on, they're the white knight generic boring good guys of BT. Telling people you like House Davion is a bit like saying your favorite food is pizza.

Why not do a poll? It seems FRR is the least hated faction...which will probably not make it the most loved one.

I hate the fedrats closely followed by the Lyrans. The reasons are simple. The Davions are two faced, they will insult a Capellen for using subterfuge on the battlefield and then turn around and use the same tactics themselves. They talk all high and mighty about how they wish to fight for peace, but it was them who started the 4th succession war and the war of 3039. Davions are aggressive and sneaky dogs who only use honor when it suits their needs and will start a propaganda campaign to make you think they are the good guys.

The Lyrans on the other hand I dislike because of their corruption and worship of money, the merchants know nothing of warfare but at least they are smart enough to hire on mercs who do understand a battle. In Lyran space it matters little how skilled you are for the job, it matters more how much money your parents made and how well you kiss up to the nobility. Those the serve House Steiner know little of the ways of honor and nothing of serving another for the good of the realm, they care only for personal gain. Such a pathetic house, may the Dragon dispose of your sad house someday so your people may find purpose again serving a noble cause.

I look forward to seeing just what you think of "how little merchants know of warfare" when I'm punching you in the cockpit with an Atlas. Fact of the matter is, we're not a bunch of crazy Japanese wannabes, we're the economic power "House" (pardon the pun) of Battletech. We have the highest standard of living in the Inner Sphere, we have reduced your empire to a bankrupt militaristic state closely resembling something like North Korea.

I cannot wait to see how you fare against a Regiment of Skyes finest.

Honestly, every house is deeply flawed... But, if I had to pick, it would be a tossup between Steiner and Kurita. The Lyrans really need to get their act together militarily (read up on it and have a laugh, on me ^.~), and many Kuritan leaders use the word 'honor' like toilet paper; It looks good before it's used up and tossed out. That kind of honor makes me queasy.

Actually House Marik is relatively inoffensive. But then I despise neutrality.

I like this post. Davians need to take their noses out of the propaganda books and see some real truths.
