You can expect us to be fighting alongside you to crush the snake, and the clans.

We must unite against the clans! Can't you see that our petty little feuds will just get us all killed?

What are these clans you speak of? I know of no clans, I only know of the successor states.

(the clans are not known yet in the inner sphere. if you are going to rp at this point you might not want to mention them.)

It's House Liao! It seems that all of their leaders have been insane. The insanity reaches out ot their pathetic military forces.

I don't like the Capellans, but you are a voice of reason in a galaxy of turmoil. My fellow Rasalhague-ians bicker over little things, the Dracs are being their usual threatening selves, and it seems the Lyrans just don't care, while I feel a great storm is approaching...
In these years of disillusionment, maybe I will re-examine my thoughts...

you forgot the davions are polishing their shining armor so bright that it blinds them from all the trouble they cause the Inner sphere.

Well Carnage, we will be able to sort out who is better when the game goes live. May your Mechs stay in working order until we can decide who is better once and for all.

House Steiner is by far the prettiest state.

Battletech did a real good job in my opinion of making every house have something that when you have a chance to play a character from them or read stories about them you can go "oh cool!" However the one house that has this the Least in my mind is House Marik. They just don't have much interesting about them, and their best leader in history isn't even from their house. Even worse it's because of them that the entire stupid story line of the ***** happens with as thin justification as it does. I mean all the other Houses have "FASA economies" IE insanely tiny production, money, and the like in order to have the number of battle mech regiments match what they are listed as, but... bleh... sorry that started to become a "why I hate the ***** story line rant".

Really in my mind Marik only has 2 "cool" things about them.... Knights of the Innersphere. And Camacho's Caballeros. That's just not enough compared to how many cool things the other houses have.

I actually did the math compared to phelan kell's interrogation. there are about 50k mechwarriors through all of the great houses. There also is no real way to tell how many merc mechwarriors there are. considering that mechs are considered to be small part of the military let's say 1/10 of the total cost of the military. even though they are probably less than 1% of the total military size. Assuming the unitsare evenly distributed between all times of mechs, even though yes i know there are more lights and mediums than everything. but i did it at 5 million per mech, that comes out to around 250 billion.for mechs alone. multiply that by about 10 for total military costs you get 2.5 trillion dollars into the military by the entire inner sphere. The US military budget is around 700 billion, but our GDP is 14.3 trillion. so our military budget is around 5% of our GDP. using a similar level, The combined houses make around 50 trillion a year. assuming it is divided evenly among the Inner sphere, which it is certainly not, you do 50 trillion divided by 2000. that means on average the GDP of any individual planet is around 25 billion. that is tiny... so yeah, fasa your economics sucks. also no idea why i wrote this. well besides alex steels last post.

Also a bit more, The current world GDP is around 69 trillion. so our one planet has a higher GDP than the entire inner sphere. so yeah, I am thinkig Fasa failed economics 101.

Also lots of assumptions, but it was the best way i could calculate it.

Well FASA economics are dominated by "The Rule of Cool". It's more cool and keeps the idea of mechs being like knights if you limit the number of them. The fact that it flies in the face of all reality doesn't matter as "The Rule of Cool" is more powerful then logic.

I just felt like doing the math, It would make more sense if they had decided that the military is a much smaller part of the economics than is suggested. also note that my numbers are probably off, and i would say that the total gdp due to fasanomics is probably about double that value.

I think in the old RPG they stated that 1 c-bill = $5 ((roughly)).

So that increases things abit on the Battletech universe side.

For 2000 planets vs 1 that is still sad. but 250 trillion c-bills GDP is much better than 50.
