Gotta keep the dream alive, right?

Here's a WIP for ya!

(I might redesign the knees though...)

Nice but I just don't see them introducing a new movement/mech animation system for quads like this. It needs the upper torso distinction and swivel point/hips to waist join.

I feel like if an Atlas touched those legs they would get twisted up like pipe-cleaners. :D

Still nice.

Yeah, I can't see pgi including them either. But that's why I made this one... Well that and learning how to 3D model better. I've mostly been doing buildings.

I'm now imagining an atlas with a fly swat!

If I could be a really demanding priсk, could you try doing a version at some point that could feasibly torso twist? The legs would connect to a platform, a pelvis like any bipedal mech, and maybe they might... eh...

Bah, I'll just sketch it.

Kinda like this:

Pelvis platform would be smaller than the torso body. The "torso" should be able to twist, and also have enough room to pitch up and down. But should keep the aesthetic of the mech being very low profile, not letting it appear tall or top heavy, but preserve the thin wideness.

Let's be honest. Quads are dead in the water if they can't twist. =P

You can't hit a quad.... look most mechs in game are assaults -those assaults have a limited pitch, the locust is already unhittable by several torso mounted guns - the quad thanks to volumetric scaling would even have less height - so no weapon can harm a quad

Ummmm... no. There are lines even I won't cross.I mean, it's basically taking a Scorpion and making it a not Scorpion. I'm sorry... I just can't do it... My inner nerd is on it's knees, bottom lip quivering, begging me not to and it's just too hard to resist that kind of begging...

If you want weapons on a swivel though, there's always the Stalking Spider II or the Jaguar and some others on this list.

Sorry to say, but they did it to the Nova so they may do it to the Scorpion.

And when people saw how tall it made the Nova, people complained. Besides, it kinda works with the Nova because it's a biped. Quads are different... they move differently... they have a different kind of versatility. They're most probably never going to put them in the game anyway.
