The thing I think I like the most about these sounds....
...is it actually sounds like there's some insulation way from the loud noises through the cockpit. I work in a factory with lots of insanely loud noises that I often forget are so loud due to the earplugs I wear for each 12 hour shift. So when day four comes along with only 6 hours and we shut the machines down in the 4th hour, things get quieter, you take off your ear plugs and then someone clangs a crane hook against the metal mold and you'd barely even register it with the ear plugs, but without... holy **** it sounds like a hollywood gunshot with the volume cranked all the way up. And then someone gets an impact wrench and I can then legitimately say its as loud as the M16-A2 and the M249 SAW that we used in Victory Forge at Fort Jackson.
(Also say what you will about Relaxin' Jackson, I did AIT in Fort Sil and I gotta say, at Fort Sil it was 10-20 minutes activity, 40-50 minutes rest due to the summer heat... Fort Jackson was also in the summer and it was 40 minutes or more activity and if we're lucky 20 minutes of rest... but usually much less. Also in 2003, drones weren't much of a thing in public hands, but we got to see some up close during Victory Forge, and they had smoke grenade launchers for a chemical weapons drill. Needless to say half of them "didn't survive" and we all caught **** for it.)
