since the engine is built to support 12v12 battles, it would be interesting to make a 24 man raid setup where you have to raid and destroy a well defended base by the computer, and you had to work as a large team to take it down. not unlike the volcano levels in boom beach. much more difficult targets or just more of them, have a role for each type of mech that has to be run well to make the overall mission a success. to where lights had to sneak in and blow the power to the base AMS systems before LRMS could rain in on what they could hit but have things shielded by terrain and whatnot to where you couldn't just sit back and missile it to death. the defenses could be controlled by players as static turrets. or maybe it could be guarded by infantry and vehicles to take out.
this brings up the option of boss fights where it will take a huge amount of firepower to bring down, either its a large target like a drop ship. or you are charged with cleansing a city and leveling the whole place. or a big underground generator structure.

You'd need to include missile lock capabilities for turrets and other base facilities then. (right now locks only occur against mechs, which is bad for testing LRMs in the Training Grounds)

I wouldn't mind seeing something like this, but I would rather waiting until PGI implements AI that can move and shoot at the same time. Then again, their devs are spending more time with MW5. So PvE in MWO seems highly unlikely. But I still wish it could happen.

Almost forgot, the turrets also are headshot savants... They always initially hit the head the instant it's visible. (I tested this on a siege map, and got headshot just barely peaking my MLX head above cover, and got sniped by 2 turrets with no damage to any other component) This would need to be fixed.
