The real crime is the wording.

RejoinING after 2 minutes doES not YIELD ANY rewards...


PGI needs to ante up their engli skillzy.
The person who wrote this sentence was probably the same person who wrote a few (many) of the loading screen tips.
And "_____ has been rewarded with a cache!" .... use WAS! The person receiving the cache happened at that very moment! He's not a -has been-, he's a was been, he is and was rewarded with a cache.. WAS.. WAS...... WAAAAAAAAAAAS!

Well OP, the reason to reconnect is to remove all chances of teammates reporting you for non participation.

But yeah at least in faction war while there are server issues and game crashes occurring, they could extend that timer a little.

It should probably be doubled for FW anyway, considering the time rate is also doubled (30 min games).

The purpose of it is to discourage late arrivals and AFKing during a game load, as well as making sure non participants receive nothing.

No, nothing is clear. Are you saying it gave me the base cbills/xp but not my premium time bonus or the win/loss bonus? If so, then I'm much less upset about this. The wording is that "Rejoins after 2 minutes do not give any rewards." ANY rewards.

I don't track my cbills/xp total religiously, so I don't know. I guess I could do science and intentionally disconnect from a quickplay match and rejoin it. But having to do so seems ridiculous.

if i get disconnected i can be back in 30. problem is i dont get disconnected at all, my damn video driver crashes. and i have to reboot the whole damn rig. thats a few seconds, but then the game spends an eternity "connecting", and the time loading the map seems longer if you are returning from a dc/crash than what it took to load in the first place.

but the thing that really gets my goat is that damn reconnect dropdown. its a finnicky thing and requires too many actions to get back to my game, if your mouse accidentally leave the boundry of the dropdown it disapears and you have to start over. it also doesnt make any since if you are doing fp, as you have to click on quick play to get back. if you click the fp tab on accident, the natural thing, you get to look at connecting for several more seconds. all i need is a button, not in a drop down, on the main bar, that says reconnect to last active game.

Seems this affects getting credit for events based on wins as well. Lost the USB connection and had to reboot just after joining a faction drop, got back in and the team won but received no win credit because it too longer than two minutes to get back in.

2 minutes penalty is really a strange rule which accomplishes nothing but punishing players for PGI's optimization performance.

2 minutes is too short a timer. The time needed for the game to load up and for the connecting screens is easily more than 2 minutes unless you have a very fast connection/computer.
