I had a very detail post and firefox crashed on me but going to make this sweet and short. From from a 8350 black and a 660 gtx to a ryzen 1600 and 1060 gtx and went from 20-40 fps to 70-130 fps.

Thanks ryzen!

Good to know. Wikipedia does state that windows do not update Ryzen computers if the OS is older than 10.

Well...I would expect it to run better with newer hardware regardless. Still good to know.

At least with the WannaCry Ransomware, even XP got an update. That's just so ****** up.

Was interested to see what your system can do compared to mine, as my CPU is pretty old and I am pretty interested in the Ryzen CPUs.

My current system
i7 950 (~8years old)
GTX970
12GB RAM DDR 1066

Using the settings you posted in the picture I got these results 74-121 FPS

Looking at this...either the Ryzen is very badly supported by MWO or you have some other bottleneck that slows your system.

I think I had 15 things going on in the backround. Also, are you sure you had 70+ fps at max? had a i52500k that was hitting 80+fps. i always turn shadows and shading off in most games as it does nothing for me

I used the same settings that you posted in your screenshot. -> http://i.imgur.com/ypmYnx8.jpg
and the FPS are from the screens I posted.

As for shadows and shaders, along with textures these are the most importend one for me.
Without shadows a scene feels unreal. We have shadows everywhere in our daily live so its off for me to have none.
Same goes for textures. When the world becomes unsharp/blurry it feels wrong to me...except I had one to much to drink.

Also I try to close any background tasks ...well I got some kind of music running when playing MWO like AmazonMusic or Fubar but thats not what I concider background.

About your i5-2500k...It dosn't wonder me much that you get a better performance. That CPU is about 2-3years younger then mine ^_°

id be very interested to know what you results would have been if you just upgraded the cpu and left your old gpu in and vice versa, if you ever play around with that let me know.

MWO doesnt support AMD at all. Plus your video card alone is worth more than his GPU+ CPU setup.

He's getting good numbers with that 1060.
