As the title says, rework the Dragon's right arm and put it the way it's supposed to be like these pics below.

Giving it the proper arm will breath new life into a very underrated and overlooked mech, with this arm it will be given a high ballistic mount(s) and with the new tech on the way will also work in it's benefit.

Really just how useful is it's current lower arm joint vs a high mount like this anyway, not very.

Sidenote: I feel the skill tree offensive nerfs for IS may be in preparation for new tech, the current weapon mods system may make new tech blaringly overpowered or cause severe imbalance. But that is pure speculation.

I love how the TT miniature dragon's torso actually looks like a dragon's head, unlike the current broad-chested kick me sticker monstrosity we currently have.

But, some of those bigger problems could be alleviated if the ballistics arm were higher.

Agree.
Besides, big bulky gun-arm thing is already there, they just have to make it coming out of RT, not from arm aquator.

(Also this thread should probably go to feature suggestion subforum. No?)

It won't fix it's hitbox issues I know, but it will help the wobbly arm AC's shooting into the ground issues.

Upped arm mount will also make it viable for ERPPC+GR meta for those types of people too.

It'll be like playing a one armed Rifleman/Jager/BJ ballistic mount.

They can't do that because of copyright/licensing issues.

dragon needs like twice as many hard points too

so does the catapult

at one time having 6 hardpoints on a heavy was okay. but now a heavy needs 8-10 hardpoints.

It wasn't due to a copyright issue, it was because it had a lower right arm actuator(elbow) even though it never used it.

Marauder, Catapult, Dragon, Thunderbolt, Quickdraw all have variants that could use more guns. Specifically, more energy or missiles.

crazy thing about the dragon, in the pts it was showing total armor with all the buffs..
70+ on the side torsos 100+ ct, thing looked impressive as hell.

i was like oh yeah this thing is going to be able tank some damage now..

in the matches i played the armor was gone almost instantly it seemed.

I dont have a lot of hope for the skill tree endowing the dragon with greater longevity. there is something about this model in game that incoming fire just devastates this mech. the new pts is going to decrease duration of a lot of incoming lasers.
this will not help the dragon at all on the field.

a major rework is needed on this mechs as well as alot of the legacy IS mechs to bring them in line with todays mechs .

Skill tree on the Dragon has made it pretty tanky and dat accel-decel on it now, but I think if it got it's real right arm it'll beast for sure.
