The new skill tree surelly will flip things around a bit but that could actually turn out to be a good thing. Everything that helps to keep things interesting is. After all this game is like a huge box of Lego and building the mechs is a large part of the game.
One concern I have is that we get the new skill tree now in May and everyone start building their new drop decks at once. In July when PGI will add all the new weapons we have to do it all over again.... Only two months after the skill tree implementation. At this point we all have to do it all over again. I might turn out a bit steep, click wise.
What do you think?

I'm glad for a shake up. Yeah I know "Change for change's sake is bad!" Don't care. People are too cozy with the status quo.

I think putting out the skill tree before new tech's release is simply not well thought out. Now if it is PGI's plan to have us respec again and spend out those extra C-Bills and SPs that were refunded, then they are doing a great job of it. I doubt they thought that far ahead, though.

I am planning for limited respecs until the new tech comes in. Mechs that I tend to vary the load out on will not see action until the new tech comes out.

Redoing energy weapons in June
New tech and timeline jump in July
At least a quarter of balance going haywire. Yeah, why would that be a problem?

Of course they didn't think that far ahead.
If they were capable of that level of foresight the game wouldn't have had nearly as many problems as it's had since day one.

All the crybabies, even the mountain of salt laughs at them.
No this is the typical growing pain hysteria for good and bad.
Im trying to picture all the non constructive l33t comp players, scapegoaters and trolls:
" Curses! We couldnt muster the community to come along and sabotage, set a stop to something that would ruin OUR fun, OUR meta, because a dynamic meta, a new skill tree with things that try to hinder ultra boating is a catasthophe along with those n00bs using lurms and small lasers, WHAAA!!! All you generalists and you, you ALL are white knights!!!!, I quit! (mhm...)"

Sure the skill tree will stil have sone tuning to do, specific mechs that suffers the most MUST get boosted nodes, overperformers can get LESS percentages per node. Also unique nodes for each mech chassi, clan or is.
And wheres the MG, flamer, tag and narc nodes I so wish could be added? PGI, are you waiting for that to after the new tech? I bet so but dont expect it tough.
