since they are now all below the lore levels unless people dive deep into the mobility node tree ? The previous skill system has the speed tweak at 7.5% which with the base top speeds, near precisely produced mechs that reached the exact top speeds they had in the lore for a given engine rating. But now without easily reached equivalent skilling, every mech is slower because the base top speeds weren't adjusted to account for changes from the previous system. Perhaps you forgot about that during the whole engine desync business ?

Oh Pgi...shouldn't All Mechs Base Top Speeds Be Raised...

Dee Eight, PGI thought (rather sadly, too) that making all the Mechs slower would increase TTK. Unfortunately, they blew it with Mechs like the Dire Wolf. If anything, perhaps Mechs with Fixed Engines that get them picked off in the rear easily need the speed bump. But ones like the Kodiak don't need that help, so I would say that this needs handling on a case-by-case basis.
