Thought it was obvious they would have reset the mech stat tracking with the new skill tree now in place....nope

Id like to see it reset after new tech, and a couple of balance patches..
(keep old on record though)

Heck i would like the ability to reset it ourselves on individual mechs if we choose to - would be useful for load out changes testing and whatnot.

Why would they do this? They didn't do it for the quirkening, they didn't do it when the neutered clan XLs, they haven't done it since beta ended, why would they "have to" do it now?

Solution: You reset them yourself.
Copy-Paste from your stats in your profile to a spreadsheet tab and name the tab "archive" then sort it alphabetical on Mech Name, then make a new tab and paste them there again and sort again and name that tab "stats".
On a third tab called "Mechs", set up the format so it looks the same as the other two, but instead of raw data you do equations where you subtract the "archive" from the "stats" for each Mech. It can be done automatically if you use vlookup (Excel) formulas.
If it is done correctly, everything should be "0". Test by increasing a number on the "stats" tab and you should see a positive non-zero number on the "Mechs" tab cooresponding to where you increased the value.
When you want to update, copy and paste from your profile stats into the "stats" tab. You may be able to just paste over top of the old stats and then sort again, but it may require some edits on "archive" for new Mechs (give them zeros for values) you have played and adjust the formulas on "Mechs". (my vlookups do most of this for me, I paste the new data to a blank sheet then copy and insert the new data in the middle of the old, sort, then remove the entires for the same Mech that has less drops. A conditional formatting rule that highlights duplicates helps.)
As you play and update, the "archive" tab data remains the same while the "stats" tab data increases. The difference between the two is your performance.
It is also a great way to calculate extra data, like Average Damage Per Drop. This is how you can tell if your Mech is doing well compared to your other Mechs. You can also throw in a few Pivot tables and graphs. I believe it is one of the factors that got me to Tier 1 as I clearly do not possess an "A Game" as it allowed me to spot under performing Mechs so I can try to make them better.
