....and, despite I've been criticizing PGI in the past, even in a harsh way, blackighting style....
I must admit that they did a very good job with skill tree (not with UI, tho).
I love the way I can customize my own quirks in my own mech.
I've never been a fan of quirks, just because those old quirks were meant to be applied whatever your build was.
Now, I'm very ok with the new system.
Example: I have 4 Hellbringers prime with 4 different loadout, so I can have 4 different quirk setting. That's awesome.
Another thing I really love, it that a lot of quirks means a lot of roles, specializing.
I hope next step will be a type of game that rewards roles, and far less dmg dependent.
Anyway, despite I was reading a lot of goodbye thread, I must admit that my coming back is been very happy and interesting.
Good job PGI

What you need to do is good back on vacation.
Just kidding, but this time is just painful and annoying at the very minimum.

Well, you know..... I have 6 hellbringers prime, and, previously, I had no way to customize my own quirks loadout wise.
Now I can.
UI is very annoying and painful, but not the idea of a single custom skill tree per mech, instead of a fix set of quirks per variant.
The same for any other mech I have in double or triple copy.
Also, I have a lot of mech I didn't build following the (un)famous old quirks, and they were useless on those mechs.
Now I can customize.
If I compare the old (and bad) quirk system with the new skill tree.... I must admit I prefer the new one.
But the UI.... OMG the UI..... LOLOL what a nightmare.....
Edit: also, I'm pretty sure that potatoes will potato even with the skill tree. So it will be easier to farm, now

It certainly is painful and annoying. I've been working through my 160 Mechs, and oh my God, am I tired of clicking.
I like the new system, but dat UI and such an absurdly large number of skill points, Jesus. I really hoped they come up with a better system for setting up Mechs before release =/

Heya Stefka,
As of yesterday I am back as well, after a even longer 12 months+ break.
I too have multiples of a number of mechs, including heroes.
I love the concept of the skill tree and the ability to have different capabilities on the same chassis variant.
Had a headache this morning after my first evening of running around in a fast light. Evidently my 48 year old brain found it strenuous to get used to absorbing a fast amount of gameplay information again. Things will get better!
Cheers!

Decent idea, not the best implementation. Its alright, still needs tweaking, the UI is...debatable (I can deal with it, but not my favorite), and the number of people who can't comprehend it is mind boggling.
