As a veteran player from early Beta, I love the new skill tree system. I feel it just needs some UI tweaks for intuitiveness. There is quite a bit more time in mechlab for players who want to change or bring a mech they haven't touched since the patch. Also. I would love to see some of the modules like Seismic more accessible like advanced zoom. Seismic 100 node is nearly useless unless you get both and it requires a disproportionate amount of skill points to grab both. Radar Deprivation should remain difficult. A little of topic: As there is enough balance to lrms already to render them usually non-competitive. Radar Deprivation against an LRM mechs was honestly a broken module for any mech near cover as most players should play on most maps. Cover, poptarts, radar deprivation and ECM. (people are already crying about supposed ecm nerfs in other threads yet their low tonnage equipment still functions) Lrm advantages being team fire support on exposed and locked enemies otherwise they are worse than Pinpoint Front load weapons as the spread doesn't target vital components. Some map designs literally make LRM mechs useless on lanes of engagement as well.
Overall though it's been a good experience playing this patch with most of my mechs breathing life and bringing diversity to many builds. Being able to specialize, even dare we think role warfare brings new opportunities for solo and team play.

Fairly Satisfied With The New Skill Tree.

I have to agree 100% wholeheartedly I might have to spend some of my 1.7 Billion Cbills banked just to buy a new mech. NOW I can experiment the way I wanted to all along. No more being placed in a box of building a mech based on "flavor of the month" or favorite weapon on the field, or meta my *&^%. With the new skill tree the real veterans are going to be easily distinguished from the rif raf. Thank you PGI for bringing new life into my favorite robot game. KUDOS a job well done.
