What happened to the mech xp? I had some mechs with a million extra mech xp that I thought I could use for respec or general xp conversion and now it seems to be gone. Am I miss understanding this?

Any 'mech XP from the old system should now be stored as Historic XP (HXP).

HXP is stored for every 'mech variant, and can be divided between any duplicates of that variant as you wish.

You can transfer HXP to regular XP using the box on the top right of the UI when you're on the Skills page for a 'mech.

Has anyone experienced the XP being drastically lower than it should be? For example, I have two King Crabs and two Black Knights I almost certainly sure this has happened with:

KGC-000 21,370XP; KGC-000B 34,517; BL-6B-KNT 15,015; BL-6-KNT 14,912

I had all three of those chassis mastered, and the third of both of them is my favorite which I had a lot of XP on and still seem to. Even so, that seems far too low. I often use GXP to pick up Cool Run and Heat Containment immediately. Rarely, I would pick up Speed Tweek with GXP (I remember doing it with most if not all Rifleman to try to compete on the leader board). Even if I had done that, however, that doesn't account for the rest. It took 60 some thousand XP to master a mech before. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if I had nearly 34K XP on that King Crab 000B before I bought it (I ran it on champ rotation for a while as I was working up the CBills to get it and it wasn't my first King Crab).

So has anyone else seen XP missing? 'Cause that is a lot of grinding I just lost.

*Now I suspect it is more than just those two chassis but those were the examples I found first and was most sure about.

For all XP previously spent you'll get HSP (History Skill Points), namely exactly 91 for a previously mastered mech. The XP that you didn't spend is converted into HXP. Both HSP and HXP can be transferred to the variant where they came from.

Both HSP and HXP need to be assigned to the mech before you can use them.

So if you had a mastered King Crab with let's say 30k unspent XP you'd get 91HSP and 30k HXP. To transfer HSP onto the mech you need to click: "Add SP" at the top of the "Mech Enhancements Dialog". Make sure to use HSP first, and GSP second, since GSP are shared between mechs, whereas HSP are not. The HXP you can transfer directly by using the "Transfer XP" functionality on the dialog directly.

Please check out the "Purchasing Skill Points" section from the latest patch notes: https://mwomercs.com...y2017#skilltree

Oh that makes sense. Thanks. I had thought Historic XP was spent and extra XP since I went to level up my favorite mechs first and they had gobs and gobs of XP on them.

did not play a while so i do not now exactly, but i had 3 firestarters at least 1 elite so the others must have been at least mastered.
now i have 'hsp' for 95 skillpoints for firestarters, which makes me believe i got ripped.
the iic jenners provide xp for 21 skillpoints, i can't believe that's correct.

shouldn't i have enough to restore previous skill status?
