Heyo,

I think what needs to be done, is to move into a system that has already worked really really well in other F2P games.

A Pilot or captain skill system.

What this would mean, your mechs would have a set of technical skills that would vary between the classes, then a Pilot that would have additional bonuses depending on their specialisation.

I play WAY to much World of Warships, I haven't' really played more then 2 matches in a week of MWO since the Kodiaks came out... And the ability to carry a captain to specific ships and grow them to affect your vehicle strongly in specific ways is really compelling.

It would also added to the lore a bit, in naming and building your own pilots making them house and clan specific, and of course this would come with some of the typical F2P tropes like - retraining between different mechs or classes of mechs, respecing them.. Oh course you'd have to make sure Its setup where you have a choice of say 50 skills but you can only use 15 or so.. No maxing out like before..

Then it wouldn't force everyone thats played with game for 2 years to respec 60+ mechs with over a 60 skill clicks per mech..

More like 100 clicks per mech.
And I see guys with 400+mechs (I've got ~25)

I rather have a skill tree then a pilot tree..... all it does is make every mech feel the same but with a different skin.
