How hard could/would it be to have a button to click to select all nodes in a tree and then deselect the nodes we don't want in firepower or other trees... I have over 150 mechs, and the Clicking to spec them all is almost enough for me to finally call it quits for MWO... especially with HBS battletech game going BETA in two weeks.

PGI why do you keep putting nails in the coffin? Make it easy to spec please. Add an select all nodes button as soon as possible. PLEASE!!!!

I don't think a "select all" is that usefull but how about a quicker responsetime to clicking, currently it feels like it takes a second to react to a click and "path selection". Like I select the last skill in a line and all the nodes in the path between get selected.
(I think they mentioned working on something like that, not sure)

Still I think that would be better then "select all".

You know what else would be nice? Saveing a layout and just load it onto another mech.
I think it would help a lot if you could have a basic layout you could save and then only costumise the nodes you want to be active on that specific mech.
Same goes for saveing loadouts, that would be cool too.

if you had 100+ mechs to config then you would think select and prune back would be much faster...

REALLY?? listening to the chirping crickets, seems to indicate no one else thinks this is a worthy idea for reducing the number of clicks, or the traffic through these forums is winding down to a trickle... either way ... not good. have people just moved on?

You know that is the same function as a select all don't you? why do people contradict themselves?

The fact that it would make things easier for everyone is reason enough for PGI to never do it.

A save or copy the unlocked trees and duplicate it for other mechs.button.
So i unlock skills, lets say for A Cataphract 3D Mobility, survival,Jumpjets, operations& sensor and aucillary. If i could save the unlocked noodes in the trees and select another Mech with Jmup jets and if i want to select nearly the same skills for, lets say a Quixkdraw 4h., i could unlock the same skills with a single click for another Mech. That would be nice. I play my Heavys as a fast hunter killer, so i need on the most heavys the same skills.. I dont need a single weapon skill for my mechs. I can work with the standard values of the Weapons. For me are the mobilitx, operation, survival tree the most important. Would be nice to unlock on one mech the skills i need, save them and "copy" it for another mech with a single mouse click. That would be really nice

I would be up for ANYTHING other than clicking a single skill 91 times per mech!!!! Ugh, I gave up after about five mechs tonight. Way too tedious and boring!

I'm behind this...I thought of this the other day when I wanted to take the full armor tree less the ams nodes(2)....nope had to click through that entire thing.

Just give me a select all, then prune of the nodes you dont' want. Such a simple concept.
