People that play only QP won't play FW though. They want a quick match. And even less so if they're fighting premade groups.

I'll reiterate since you didn't actually read it - COMBINE THE QP --- AND -- THEIR FW COUNTERPARTS.

Solo pug 1 drop can continue to be solo pug 1 drop. You can even keep the Magical.MM in the mix.

Mixed teams can still be mixed teams. If you really want a third pool add 1 drop or 4 drops.

Minimal viable effort - puts all of the players that want the buffing system in place into 2 match pools Saves many server resources which could be used to have smaller pools for things like arena, stock mode, no buff modes.
