since 1 hour i wait for this rubbish to finish... it was an very small patch 186mb or so but its 1 hour now and he is still at FINALIZING PATCH......

and when i watch for the LED that shows harddrive activity its inactive!!!!

restartet this ''''''''''''''''' 3 times now this is the 3rd time and this time i have led it run for nearly 1 hour now.....


and no i cant launch the LAUNCHER as admin the option isnt there

but the patch with madcat mkII was 0 problem and the patch was much bigger

Have you tried using steam? I've had a lot less problems through that.

There is a "RIP Patcher" announcement posted by PGI, it might be no longer usable.

Use the portal or Steam. Those are teh future.

I got rid of the stand alone client(not the patcher), bc if that same issue.
Switch to the steam.

Overall steam is better anyway, auto patches games, provides a centralized game management console.
Plus, you can buy games directly using it....

Just use steam.

i have an shortcut on my desktop saying mwo portal... with that i start the game

so i think it is the portal

but yes... steam would be nice... i can use the same mwo account when i switch to steam installation or?

Yes, you can use the same account with Steam. And if you create a shortcut to the client, you can close out steam after it's finished updating, and boot the client directly without having Steam running fully in the background. Though it'll make our Steam numbers look nicer if you leave it ;3

Running the repair tool should fix it. You will probably have to do this for every patch, I have the same issue when dealing with the PTS.

Easier to just use Steam.

I had this exact issue, contacted support twice, asked them to not remove the launcher cose' it worked there, but, they didn't help at all..

Only solution that worked was installing from Steam.. have no issues there so far.. And the game is actually more stable.
