one other explanation: trigger happy allies

you waddle forward with an ally behind you.

an enemy surprise hugs you from the front.

overly twitchy "friendly" sees the red dorito and alphas center mass.

too bad you're in the way and pop goes your back.

happens enough in qp for me to consciously NEVER lead a push unless absolutely necessary. you NEVER know whether your ally knows how to echelon out from a corner properly or has proper firing discipline. i learned that the hard way playing solo in a splatdog. the amount of friendly fire is astounding when you have to face hug enemies to kill them.
